Sunday Premier League Season 17 Division 3

  • Week 14: Gators feast on Sedap in stunning six goal display!

Week 14 of Season 17 in the X-League Sunday Premier League marked the final round before the league pauses for the Muslim fasting month and Hari Raya. There are eight teams in the division and only two of the eight teams were in action this week, but it was a blockbuster clash as second placed Sedap FC took on third placed Bedok Reservoir Punggol CSN.

With the title race heating up, the stakes could not have been higher. Sedap came into the tie unbeaten, while Bedok Reservoir had lost just once all season. A win for Sedap would have sent them to the top of the table, while a victory for the Gators would close the gap and keep them firmly in contention.

Played at Woodlands Secondary School, the match started at a high tempo. The first half was evenly contested until Irfan Yusof put Sedap ahead in the 20th minute with a well taken finish. Bedok responded just before the break as Jeevasudhan Raj equalised, ensuring both sides went into half time level at 1-1.

The game took a dramatic turn early in the second half when Ryan Emmanuel Pereira suffered a serious injury after an awkward fall, dislocating his arm. Play was halted as paramedics attended to him before the match resumed. The incident visibly affected Sedap, and the momentum began to shift.

An own goal ten minutes into the second half handed Bedok the lead, and from that moment, the Gators took complete control. Sensing the opportunity, they turned on the style. Muhammad Erwan struck twice in quick succession in the 54th and 56th minutes, while Man of the Match Bryan Sim added two more in the 68th and 71st minutes to complete a stunning 6-1 victory.

It was a ruthless second half display from Bedok Reservoir Punggol CSN, who sent a strong message to their title rivals with a result that could prove decisive.

The X-League wishes Ryan Emmanuel Pereira a speedy recovery.

  • Week 13: Sedap serve up a feast as title race heats up

Week 13 of Season 17 in the X-League Sunday Premier League delivered a blockbuster clash in Division 3. There are eight teams in the division and only two of the eight teams were in action this week, but it was a heavyweight showdown as league leaders FC Vastatores took on second placed Sedap FC.

With five points separating the sides and Vastatores having played more matches, the stakes were clear. A win for Sedap would close the gap and throw the title race wide open. Fireworks were expected at Clementi Town Secondary School and the first half delivered.

Sean Dias gave Sedap the lead in the 31st minute with a composed finish, but Vastatores responded through their experienced talisman Ryan Sufiyan, who struck a minute before the break to level the score at 1-1. It was a finely balanced contest heading into the second half.

What followed, however, was a Sedap FC masterclass. For those who do not know, Sedap means tasty in Malay and they certainly lived up to their name. If the first half was a warm up, the second half turned into a full buffet. Sedap tore through the Vastatores defence with clinical precision, turning the contest into a feast of attacking football.

Sean Dias grabbed his second in the 42nd minute to restore the lead before Saravanan Javahar made it 3-1 in the 50th minute. Muhammad Afzal then added a fourth in the 61st minute to put the result beyond doubt. It was relentless, it was ruthless, and it was, quite simply, Sedap at their best.

Man of the Match Ryan Emmanuel Pereira orchestrated the performance with a commanding display, pulling the strings and driving his team forward throughout the second half.

The 4-1 victory sees Sedap FC move up to 18 points while maintaining second place, now just two points behind the league leaders. A tasty victory indeed, and one that sets up a thrilling run in as the title race reaches boiling point.

  • Week 12: Gators roar back as Sedap keep title race alive

Week 12 of Season 17 in the X-League Sunday Premier League delivered another exciting chapter in Division 3. There are eight teams in the division and four of the eight teams were in action this week, with two key fixtures impacting both ends of the table.

The headline clash saw Triple X FC take on Bedok Reservoir Punggol CSN at Woodlands Secondary School. Triple X came into the game in red hot form, having scored 19 goals in their last three matches. Bedok Reservoir, however, had other ideas as they produced a commanding performance to bounce back in style.

Man of the Match Bryan Sim stole the show with a sensational hat-trick from midfield, dictating play and driving his team forward. He struck twice in the first half to give Bedok Reservoir a 2-0 lead at the break before completing his hat-trick in the second half to put the result beyond doubt. Muhammad Mudrik added a fourth to cap off a dominant 4-0 victory. It was a statement performance from the Gators, who showed they remain a serious force in the title race.

In the second fixture, Sedap FC edged past FootPanda FC with a hard fought 2-1 win to keep the pressure on league leaders FC Vastatores. FootPanda made the brighter start and took the lead early through Edward Morgan Jones in the 6th minute. Sedap responded almost immediately as Saravanan Javahar equalised just two minutes later.

The game settled into a competitive rhythm with both sides creating chances, but it was Sedap who found the decisive moment. Sean Dias struck in the 67th minute with a well taken finish to complete the turnaround and secure all three points. Man of the Match Kun Ashraf delivered a strong all round performance, while Ibad Khalid stood out for FootPanda FC.

The results see Bedok Reservoir Punggol CSN reassert themselves in the standings, while Sedap FC close the gap on the leaders to keep the title race very much alive.

  • Week 11: Vastatores strike at the death in stunning 5-5 thriller

Week 11 of Season 17 in the X-League Sunday Premier League delivered pure football drama in Division 3. There are eight teams in the division and only two of the eight teams were in action this week, but they served up a pulsating 5-5 draw that had everything.

League leaders FC Vastatores took on fifth placed Triple X FC at Woodlands Secondary School in a clash that more than lived up to expectations. The game exploded into life early, with Triple X racing into a 2-0 lead inside the opening eight minutes through Marche Loke and Kerwin Cheng.

Vastatores responded in similar fashion, showing the resilience of champions as veteran striker Ryan Sufiyan struck twice in quick succession in the 9th and 14th minutes to bring the game level at 2-2. Just when it seemed the momentum had shifted, Marche Loke popped up again four minutes before the break to restore Triple X’s lead and send them into half time ahead at 3-2. Such drama and still so much football to be played.

The second half continued at the same frantic pace. Effendi Elias equalised for Vastatores in the 53rd minute to make it 3-3, but Triple X refused to back down. Kerwin Cheng fired them back in front in the 59th minute before Marche Loke completed his hat-trick in the 65th minute to put his side 5-3 up. At that stage, the game looked beyond Vastatores with time running out.

But to become champions, one must never give up. Vastatores embodied that spirit. Two minutes into added time, Muhammad Junaidie pulled one back to make it 5-4 and ignite hope. Then, in the most dramatic fashion, Abdul Razak fired home the equaliser seconds before the final whistle. It was a moment of pure footballing chaos and brilliance.

A 5-5 draw that will be talked about for a long time, and a reminder of why this league continues to deliver unforgettable moments.

  • Week 10: Clementi break duck in dominant display against Elitez

Week 10 of Season 17 in the X-League Sunday Premier League saw a single fixture take centre stage in Division 3. There are eight teams in the division and only two of the eight teams were in action this week, as two sides at the foot of the table went head to head in search of their first points of the campaign.

Both Clementi FC and FC Elitez came into this clash still without a win or a point this season, making this a crucial encounter for both sides at Clementi Town Secondary School.

The first half was a tightly contested affair with both teams showing urgency and intent. Chances were limited as both defences held firm, and it looked as though the sides would head into the break level. However, in the final minute of the half, Mohammad Rizzwan produced a moment of quality to fire Clementi FC into a 1-0 lead, giving his side a crucial advantage heading into the interval.

FC Elitez came out in the second half looking to respond, but Clementi seized control early. Raffiee Zainal doubled the lead just three minutes after the restart with a clinical finish before adding his second of the game in the 57th minute to make it 3-0. The momentum was firmly with Clementi, and they continued to press forward with confidence.

Naim Nasir extended the lead to 4-0 in the 64th minute as Elitez struggled to cope with Clementi’s attacking intensity. Further goals from Amirul Hayat and Ferlanni Efendi capped off a dominant performance, with Clementi FC running out convincing 6-0 winners to secure their first victory of the season in emphatic fashion.

Man of the Match Raffiee Zainal was instrumental with a brace and a commanding presence in attack, while Sabri Izzuddin put in a commendable shift for FC Elitez despite the result.

The win provides Clementi FC with a much needed boost as they look to build momentum, while FC Elitez will continue their search for their first points of the season.

  • Week 9: Vastatores cruise as FootPanda pile pressure in Division 3

Week 9 of Season 17 in the X-League Sunday Premier League saw another round of action in Division 3. There are eight teams in the division and four of the eight teams were in action this week, with two fixtures shaping the standings at both ends of the table.

League leaders FC Vastatores continued their strong run with a commanding 4-1 victory over FC Elitez, who are still finding their footing in their debut campaign. Vastatores were in control from the outset and raced into a 3-0 lead by half time. Muhammad Haikal Azri opened the scoring before Muhammad Junaidie struck twice to put the game firmly in their grasp. In the second half, Muhammad Suhaimi added a fourth in the 67th minute as Vastatores maintained their attacking intensity. Sufiyan Senin managed to pull one back for Elitez three minutes from time, but it proved to be a late consolation. Standout performances from Muhammad Junaidie and Ryan Sufiyan underlined Vastatores’ dominance, while Iswandi Roslan impressed for Elitez despite the defeat.

In the other fixture, FootPanda FC secured a well earned 3-1 win over Clementi FC in a match that swung in momentum across both halves. The opening period was evenly contested, with Muhammad Irfan giving FootPanda the lead in the 20th minute. Clementi responded positively and found an equaliser through Helmi Sadon in the 30th minute, sending both sides into the break level at 1-1.

FootPanda stepped up after the restart and regained the lead through Noor Alif in the 50th minute. They continued to press forward and Haziq Nidzam sealed the victory with a clinical finish in the 57th minute. Man of the Match Azam Hamin delivered an influential performance, while Nur Ikhsan and Helmi Sadon stood out for Clementi FC.

  • Week 8: Vastatores edge FootPanda to stay top

Week 8 of Season 17 in the X-League Sunday Premier League saw a reduced slate of fixtures in Division 3. There are eight teams in the division and only two of the eight teams were in action this week, with a single clash taking centre stage.

League leaders FC Vastatores faced a stern test against fifth placed FootPanda FC in what turned out to be a tightly contested encounter. The match unfolded as a classic game of two halves, with both sides enjoying periods of dominance.

FootPanda started brightly and took control of the opening 40 minutes with their high tempo pressing and sharp attacking play. Their efforts paid off when Ibad Khalid found the breakthrough, finishing clinically to give FootPanda a 1-0 lead heading into the interval. Vastatores struggled to impose themselves early on and were second best for much of the first half.

The second half, however, saw a different FC Vastatores side emerge. They stepped up the intensity, moved the ball quicker and began to stretch the FootPanda defence. The equaliser arrived in the 51st minute when Benjamin Ng produced a composed finish to bring Vastatores level.

With momentum now firmly on their side, Vastatores continued to press forward in search of a winner. FootPanda remained resilient and looked dangerous on the counter, but it was the league leaders who delivered the decisive moment. Effendi Elias struck eight minutes from time to complete the turnaround and seal a hard fought 2-1 victory.

The win sees FC Vastatores move up to 16 points and extend their lead at the top of the table, strengthening their position as early frontrunners in Division 3.

Special mention goes to Abdul Razak for his Man of the Match performance for FC Vastatores, while Azam Hamin impressed for FootPanda FC with a strong display.

  • Week 7: Triple X run riot as Kiddos return to winning ways in Division 3

Round 7 of Season 17 in the X-League Sunday Premier League saw Division 3 action continue with two fixtures featuring the bottom sides looking to turn their fortunes around. There are eight teams in the division and four of the eight teams were in action this week.

Two games this week with the bottom two sides in action. Both teams have struggled to catch a break so far, suffering defeats in their recent outings. The question heading into this round was whether this week would bring a change in fortunes.

At Clementi Town Secondary School, Triple X FC produced a dominant attacking display to sweep aside FC Elitez with a convincing 7-1 victory. Triple X were on the front foot from the first whistle and raced into a 4-0 lead by half time through a brace from Wei Yang, along with strikes from Keith Tay and Marche Loke. The second half followed a similar pattern as Marche Loke added another before Heng How Meng made it 6-0 in the 51st minute. • Week 5: Vastatores edge FootPanda to climb the table

Week 5 of Season 17 in the X-League Sunday Premier League saw a quieter round of fixtures in Division 3. There are eight teams in the division and only two of the eight teams were in action this week, with a single league match taking centre stage.

Third placed FC Vastatores faced off against FootPanda FC in a crucial encounter that had significant implications for the upper half of the table. Vastatores came into the game on the back of a strong run of form and knew that a win would see them close the gap on the teams above. FootPanda, meanwhile, were riding high after their impressive 1-0 victory over Bedok Reservoir Punggol CSN and were eager to build momentum.

The contest proved to be a tightly fought battle with both sides showing discipline and organisation across the pitch. Chances were limited as both defences held firm, and the midfield battle was intense with neither side willing to concede control. The breakthrough eventually came in the 39th minute when Muhammad Junaidie, also known as Wak, produced a decisive moment of quality to find the back of the net and give Vastatores a 1-0 lead heading into the interval.

In the second half, FootPanda pushed forward in search of an equaliser and applied sustained pressure in the attacking third. However, Vastatores remained compact at the back and managed the game well, showing composure and game management to protect their slender advantage. Despite FootPanda’s efforts, the scoreline remained unchanged as Vastatores secured all three points.

  • Week 2: Leaders emerge as Bedok Reservoir and Sedap maintain perfect starts

Week 2 of Season 17 in the X-League Sunday Premier League delivered another action packed round in Division 3. There are eight teams in the division. Six teams were in action this week, including newcomers FC Elitez and Clementi FC, as the early table began to take shape.

FC Vastatores bounced back in emphatic fashion after their opening day defeat with a commanding 7-1 victory over Kiddos Super Subs at Clementi Town Secondary School. Vastatores set the tempo early and went into the break two goals to the good thanks to strikes from Muhammad Haikal Azri and Effendi Elias. The second half turned into a one sided affair as Vastatores carved open the Kiddos defence at will. Syazwan Sharudin, Juraimi Mohamed, and a second from Muhammad Haikal Azri added to the scoreline as they ran out convincing winners. It was a ruthless attacking display and a strong response after their Week 1 setback.

Elsewhere, Bedok Reservoir Punggol CSN continued their impressive run with a dominant 4-0 win over Clementi FC. Goals from Man of the Match Syabil Hidi, Christian Gabriel, Bryan Sim, and Irfan Shah capped off a controlled performance. Clementi found themselves 2-0 down at half time and faced an uphill task. Their hopes of a comeback took a further blow after a red card early in the second half, allowing Bedok Reservoir to dictate play and see out the game comfortably.

In the final fixture, Sedap FC made it two wins from two with a solid 4-2 victory over newcomers FC Elitez. Sean Dias, Gerald Kingsley, Ryan Emmanuel Pereira, and Nazery Zain were all on the scoresheet in a fluid attacking performance. Elitez showed glimpses of promise going forward but were ultimately undone by Sedap’s cutting edge in the final third.

With two wins from two, both Sedap FC and Bedok Reservoir Punggol CSN sit level on points at the summit of Division 3. The chasing pack will be looking to respond quickly as the competition begins to gather pace.

  • Week 1: Division 3 kicks off in style as Sedap rally and Bedok Reservoir edge Kiddos

Season 17 of the X-League’s Sunday Premier League began with a lively Week 1 in Division 3. There are eight teams in the division. Four of the eight teams were in action and the two fixtures delivered goals, momentum swings, and early storylines.

This season also marks an important milestone for the league, as every match will be officiated by FAS Match Officials. This continues X-League’s commitment to supporting referee development and providing a professional platform for Singapore’s match officials to gain valuable experience.

The opening game pitted Sedap FC against FC Vastatores and it produced a stirring fightback. Sedap, who missed promotion by a single point last season, were stunned when Vastatores raced into a two to nil lead inside 19 minutes through Adip Fathullah and Muhammad Haikal Azri. Sedap then clicked through the gears. Julian Tan halved the arrears in the 24th minute and Saravanan Javahar levelled a minute later. Ryan Emmanuel Pereira turned the contest on its head shortly before the interval. Man of the Match Saravanan Javahar sealed a four to two victory with his second of the afternoon three minutes from time. It was a comeback full of character and attacking verve.

The second fixture saw Bedok Reservoir Punggol CSN edge newcomers Kiddos Super Subs in a dramatic three to two win. Kiddos struck first through Juraimi Mohamed in the 23rd minute to take the lead. Bedok Reservoir responded through Mohamed Sufi and then moved in front when Badiuzzaman Rozi finished smartly. An own goal brought Kiddos level and set up a grandstand finish. With the points seemingly set to be shared, Muhammad Mudrik popped up in the final minute to snatch the winner and send Bedok Reservoir off to a perfect start.

It is only Week 1, but Sedap have reminded the field of their threat and Bedok Reservoir have banked an early statement result. With eight sides in the mix, expect tight encounters, late drama, and plenty of talking points as the season gathers pace.
