Team Report

Overall we played a good match despite missing players on National duty (one with the National U20 team in Mauritius, and others on National Service). The first half was balanced, movement and dynamics worked well against a tenacious opponent, possession was in our favour. At the interval, we were in position 2:1 with goals from Jordan and Reuben.

The second half started where the first half left off, and then the Juniores ramped up with many shots off-target, from hitting the crossbar and posts to nearly hitting the corner flag (?? on a free kick?). But the tenacity of the opponents paid off with defensive errors at 70' and 72' to see the football gods rewarding the Juniores with a second loss in their maiden season.

Lessons learned. Back to the training pitch for everyone, working on getting the shots more on target.
