Team Report

Hot and Hazy midday. We had another handful of players being late. It becomes a serious problem when we need to start a game with 9 people instead of 13 expected to make to the game. Luckily, we earned a quick penalty while playing 9 against 11. It seemed like opponents didn't take us seriously at the start. Bugra had easily converted it to get back to the top of the goalscorer list. As we finally got 11 on the field, opponents scored an easy goal, just like in our first game of the season with them their player shot from the distance to lob our goalkeeper. Apparently, they remembered that this is Sergey's weakest point, ironically, despite being the tallest goalie in the league. Several minutes later they earned a penalty, as in our second league game against Ike Ike, Vitaly was the culprit to bring down a player in the box. As usual it was a soft and absolutely unnecessary penalty sort of a payback for the one we earned earlier on. Towards, the end of the first half we managed to equalize we a swift move on the right, cross to the left and a good finish by our new joiner (Kolya), his second goal in as many games.

As always for the games played at 1pm, second half was very tiring with many chances for both sides but no clear finishes. Luckily Anthony converted one of the corners, and it was a game-decider. Anthony scored in every of the last 4 games, and with his assists he gets an MVP award again. Happy Feet goalie gets MVP as well for some fantastic saves.
