Team Report

This time around we were the ones who lacked discipline. 4 players out of 12 were late, 15mins, 35mins, 40mins and 65mins. That meant we started the game with 8 players on the field, miraculously we have quickly scored. unfortunately this was the only our goal.

Assumption FC played mostly from defence even with numerical advantage, allowing us to move ball through midfield without much resistance it's when we were going close to their penalty box 3-4 players were jumping in. Their counter attacks were very simple too, a fast guy on their right flank and a tall guy (#9) in the middle. These 2 were the only players causing us trouble, and they have done it very well. I don't think we played strategically well against such a simple tactic, ironically the one we use a lot too when Bugra is present.

1st goal came from the fast guy on the right who ran away from Sardor (latecomer) crossed to the tall guy, #9 mishit the ball but still had time to get up and shot again. We were caught on counter as only one defender came back.

2nd goal was organized by #9 as he received a through-in and just kicked the ball high up in the sky into our penalty area - one-timer followed from the guy on the right left alone by Dima and Ali - it hit our goalie and into the net. Could Sergei do better than that !?

3rd goal, long long pass to the tall guy he could not reach the ball with his head but still chased the ball to the sideline, dribbled 2 our defenders crossed into penalty box and again one-timer from the guy on the right. 2 our other defenders Dima and Sardor literally napping....

4th goal, this time the guy on the right ran away again from Vitas (late comer) and Dima now and did not cross but passed rather back to above penalty spot, someone from midfield shot it very well into goals.

5th goal, the guy on the right decided not to run this time at all, just crossed from half line with tall guy jumping high and scoring beautiful header not possible to defend.

6th goal, the guy on the right ran away yet again, this time from Dima alone, with goalkeeper advancing out he chipped into empty net with #9 just tapping in.

Well played by those 2 guys. I don't remember the number for the guy on the right so MOM goes to the tall guy #9 (2 assist and 3 goals)
