Team Report

First game of the season. First Win of the Season. Despite having a full squad for the match, Dboys were without their first choice starlet keeper who was unavailable for game due to NS Commitments. Aravin took his place in between the goal post. Despite not knowing anything about their counter parts, Dboys started the game brightly.

In the 4th minute, Sasi swinged in a near post corner which was diverted into the net by Debutant Boon Chye. First Debut goal for the new signing. Despite controlling the game, dboys conceded a goal. However, Dboys picked themselves up again. All Kishen had to do was to pass the ball to Sasi at left side of the Half Way Line. The rest was history when Sasi sprinted down the left wing, beating 3 players in the process, and slotted the ball cooly into the net putting Dboys into the lead once again.

However, the lead was not permanent. Dboys again conceded another goal. As the game was approaching Half-time, Dboys scored another goal to put them into a lead. An excellent pass and move in the middle of the park then resulted for Ming to play an exquisite pass through the opponents defence for NIresh. Star Striker Niresh got past the keeper and slotted the ball into the net. Dboys went into the half time break with a 3-2 lead.

Manager Imda and Captain Viknesh were furious with how Dboys had conceded the 2 goals despite controlling the game. Changes were made in the 2nd half. 3 Mins into the 2nd half, Boon Chye had blasted the ball into the net after a corner was blundered by the opponent defence. Having a 2 goal lead was not sufficient for Dboys. Despite tightening their backline, Dboys conceded their 3rd goal of the day. After the 3rd goal, Woodgrove knew that they had a chance and they started to put pressure on Dboys. Despite the pressure, Dboys went ahead again through Pratheep. A fast breaking counter attack was cooly finished off by Pratheep. The game ended and the full time score was 5-3 to Dboys.
