About Us
Dboyz FC was initially formed in late 2007. The team consists of a wide pool of players from Temasek, Republic and Nanyang Polytechnics. A young and vibrant team at that time, Dboyz were one of the teams to watch in the indian amateur soccer community. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, the team had closed down in early 2010.
Efforts were made to restart the team after several key players had left the team. However, it did not work out. Due to NS commitments and the departure of several key players, the plan of starting back the team had vanished.
In late 2012, Captain Viknesh and V.Captain Aravin decided to rebuild the team from scratch. Having a handful of pioneer players, both of them went out to hunt for new, young and talented players. Before they could do the scouting, they first had to find a Team Manager who was willing to guide Dboyz in the right path. Former Captain Imda was approached for the role of Dboyz Team Manager. Initially, the deal did not take place. However, after understanding the layman terms placed on the table, Imda agreed to be the Manager.
Several key players who had left the team once were approached. After explaining to them about the clubs long and short term plans, the players decided to join up the team which was once a team feared by many.
Dboyz previously was known for their fast attacking football. As the current team was a mixture of young and pioneer players, Dboyz tuned their gameplay to a more simple yet attractive style of play.
Dboyz FC is not just a soccer team. We are more than a FAMILY and a BAND OF BROTHERS.
