1st Half
Newton Heath with only 7-men players and the game is about to start in 5-minutes and the referee is almost ready. Bo, Harith, Idzhar and Azrin just reaching had to ask the referee another five minutes so we can start with eleven line-ups for this first half. It is like an all over again ‘day ja vous’ I will have to face up the song and dance with the boys. I suppose this is normal to run team Newtons. Finally, the match gets on the way without further delay.

Amirul sitting in as a replacement goal keeper a contingency plan, not his cup of tea but has already discuss it over to utilize his ability.

This is Newton’s second league match first time playing against El Gremio FC with almost more than half of the squad are very young talented. Full of energy El Gremio FC display lots of young talents with desire and determinations just to play football, especially at league tournament such as this and the feelings to be in it!

I was looking forward to the line-up for Hazrulnizam and his brother Shahrulnizam to partner Azrin in this match. Sadly, it was not meant to be- still focusing to stay on course for these three attacking ideas on the next meets. Observation on Azrin in the ‘all out’ striker has established and demonstrates his ability and desire to rule his position justly.

The duo confident centre back Harith and Kumar, Sharil on the left while Haziq is on the right. I am aiming for more penetration from within the defenders and pick out offside traps if may. The three midfield-wingers need to generate more urgency reactions on the second balls when they lost it and regain immediately to recover possession. Razif and Bo their role as stoppers/playmakers, exchanging ideas and support assisting distributions to the three midfielders to pursue attacking pressure formation. Attacking flow on the left for Sharil to over-lap in support and to deliver swift passes for Norizwan on the left wings. Haziq on the other-hand less sharp but tried his best. Swift distribution play ball for Adi, Idzhar and Norizwan to open up wider penetrating El Gremio’s back fours lunging attacks through balls for Azrin to break through, shots taken, curled in fast ball, the goal is just ‘Goal-Shy’!

The stopper/playmaker Razif composed a timely ball control in the 34th minutes Razif picks up a short pass from Idzhar in command of the ball roll pass to Azrin. Azrin than advances straight to the goal mouth time his runs and score low ball pass the goal keeper, Azrin34’, 1-0.

Well played only one goal in this half.


2nd Half
El Gremio FC pretty much in the game fulls of energy no signs of fatigue. They’re just enjoying their game don’t recognize failure or lost, just keeps on producing run after runs. High velocity rapid pace swift in supporting to score goals even though in comparison they lack experience! At this point I am not sure how this match is going to pans out if they continue playing this type of football. El Gremio took the lead early in the first half through their free-kicks was denied the goal. Should the goal stands, things would have been different presumably.

The chemistry on the left between Sharil and Norizwan were just great both of them move fast and speedy. With the push from defense in support on the stoppers/playmakers- midfield attacking defense ‘MAD’ ‘Razif and Bo’, they are pressuring up and assessing these youngsters speed and energy. Beginning to control the speed, pace and energy of this talented team, Adi display opening flow with his distributions for his central attacking midfields ‘CAM’. Norizwan and Idzhar slice open penetrating the walls of El Gremio’s defense. Idzhar is beginning to riddle along his game with the team tempo and echoes. His corner kicks delivers fast ball as determine and he is improving in every games.

Newton control ball possession and demonstrate good football, channeling shot passes, maneuvering simple fast tracking directive ball well. They are displaying authority and experience separating the boys against men. In the ninth minutes from the buildup possession, Harith to Bo, Bo to Razif the understanding in the midfields area beginning to have an impact, trust materializing to form sporting relation. Razif sensing Idzhar clear run on his right drove a fast passing ball directing Idzhar’s running phase dodging low ball for second goal, Idzhar9’ 2-0.

The speed and experience begins to take command when in the fifteenth minutes Newtons pounding attacks forced El Gremio foul on Norizwan in the penalty box. Norizwan delivers the third goal from the spot for Newton lead 3-0, Norizwan15’. In the thirty third minutes Newton dazed for a moment, El Gremio FC delivers their skills and ability causing Newtons defenders panic, Amirul miss queued clearing the ball and forced to concede, [3-133’]. Instantly a minute after that Newton recover from Adi long pass to Idzhar right laid back to Razif through ball to an opening run on Azrin for a clear delay evading control, Azrin34’ 4-1. Newton continues pressuring their attacks forcing another foul inside the penalty box. Quickly Norizwan insisted to take the kick fast and convert the goal, Norizwan36’ 5-1. In the fortieth minutes Kumaran pick-up Yellow card for a foul hash tackle.

Great win for Newtons in their second game of the league.
