Yet another week, yet another high-tempo and testosterone-laced match between Grampus Rise and Div-1, defending champion, Marceles Junior. Both teams came bursting out as the whistle blown with each teams putting an intense amount of pressure on each other. Luck was definitely on our side in the 1st 10 minutes when a superb long-pleasing passed from our own half, found our pacey-striker, Mail Lambong but was brought down by Marceles's goalie in their penalty box and we was awarded a penalty. Just as we thought we could reaped the fruits of our labour, Marceles's well-composed goalie denied our deserved lead. Both team all-squared in the half-time.
2nd half started and we were dominating well as both teams battling each other for goals till the last 10 minutes, once again a superb long ball finding Mail in our opponent half leaving him and our opponent's goalie one-on-one and YES this time he made it count with his clinical finished header and slotted in our 1st yet winning goal. Simply clinical.
An exciting match and a deserved win for Grampus.
