Game of 2 halves with Deaf United dominating the first while New Eastroids the second. Eastroids were psyched up to maintain the perfect start to this season with a second win but Deaf United came looking to get their first win; recipe for a feisty game. But all in all, game was played in a good sportmanship spirit with a few crunching tackles just to remind the stakes at hand.
Deaf United scored early on in the first half and maintained the lead til half-time. Deaf United's keeper, who had a fantastic game, and solid defending kept Eastroids attack at bay. 1-0 to Deaf Untied.
After a few personnel changes during half-time, Eastroids came out attacking in the second. Goal came midway in the second half. Riki got a a brilliant thru pass to the left-wing from midfield and beat the offside trap. With a deft touch from his outer foot, he sent the ball across the penalty box to a few onrushing Eastroids strikers and Deaf United defenders. But Aciq's outstretched legs managed to prod the ball past the keeper who could do nothing this time around. 1-1.
Eastroids pressed on to get the elusive goal to win the match but heroics from Deaf United's keeper and defence meant that the match ended as a draw. A fair result at the end but it was a cracker of a game for the neutrals.
