BMFS SC moved up to second spot by garnering their second win of the season beating Sparta Cowboys 2-1 at East Spring Secondary. Rahmat opened the scoring in this tie 30th min when his side were awarded a penalty following a careless challenge in the box. HT1-0. The Cowboys were unlucky to have conceded a second penalty in the 71st min following a late challenge where the defender was millimetres away from reaching the ball. Up stepped Faruq, who made no mistake from the spot. Super-Sub Sofian lived up to his reputation pulling a goal back for the Cowboys just four mins later when he latched onto a through ball, ran past one defender, dummied the goalkeeper and tapped the ball into the back of the net.
Final Score: Sparta Cowboys 1 BMFS SC 2
Over at Pasir Ris Secondary School, New Eastroids FC and Deaf Utd played to a feisty 1-1 draw. New Eastroids were slow off the block and paid the price in the 16th min when Nahar blasted the ball into the back of the net following a scramble in the penalty box. HT 1-0. New Eastroids came out of the break all guns blazing and deservedly equalized through Aciq in the 51st min. Both sides has a fair amount of chances in the second half to put the game away but failed to do so time and again. In the end, a draw seemed a fair result.
Final Score: Deaf Utd 1 New Eastroids 1

Ike Ike this week found out that life in the X-League wasn’t going to be smooth sailing following their 4-0 demolition of Atlas FC last week. In a game of two halves, Ironfield showed true grit and character to come back from 1-0 down at half time to eventually emerge 4-1 winners. Faizal aka Butcher, gave Ike Ike the lead in this clash when his shot took a cruel deflection off the wall, wrong-footing the goalkeeper. Hat-trick hero Hafiz with three goals in the second half coupled with a goal goal by Vikneswaran , sends Ironfield to second spot in the league standings.
Final Score: Ike Ike 1 Ironfield Utd 4
New Eastroids, a team made up of relatives and close friends, looked like potential title contenders in their dominant 4-1 win over Club life over at Coral Secondary School. It was 2-0 by the 30th min thanks to Faisal who scored his first with a fine long range effort. Nas made it 3-0 just after the break when he pounced onto a loose ball following a free-kick that was misread by the goalkeeper. Club Life managed to pull a goal back through Razi’s close range effort in the 45th min signalling a possible comeback. However, New Eastroids sealed the game in the 60th min through Rizal who dramatically volleyed his shot into the bottom left hand corner of goal from outside the box.
Final Score: New Eastroids 4 Club Life 1
Vipers FC got their new campaign off to a flying start with 4-1 win over Atlas FC. I-Zack opened the scoring in this one with a well placed penalty in the 11th min following a reckless challenge in the box. Ke Hang then made it 2-0 in the 25th min when he latched onto a through ball down the left flank before beating the goalkeeper at the near post. HT 2-0. Atlas FC managed to pull a goal back in the second half courtesy of Abdul Karim but it served as a consolation a Vipers went on to score another two through Joseph.
Final Score: Vipers FC 4 Atlas FC 1
Bad weather marred what was a great game of football between Deaf Utd and Sparta Cowboys. It was end to end action from start to finish with both sides creating and spurning an equal amount of chances at both ends. HT 0-0. Four mins before the end, miscommunication at the back saw Cowboy Danni through on goal with only the goalkeeper to beat. Although the keeper got a hand to the shot, it wasn’t enough to stop the ball from trickling in. Football can be a cruel game at times. This was one such occasion.
Final Score: Deaf Utd 0 Sparta Cowboys 1
BMFS came out 5-0 winners against Heart Sparks at St Gabriel Secondary sending them to third spot in the league standings. A cheeky back-heel in the 10th min saw Nizar tap the ball into the back of the net from close range. HT 1-0. Salihin then made it 2-0 in the 43rd min before Rahmat chipped the goalkeeper in the 62nd min following some great build up play similar to what you’ll see in Fifa 12. Rahmat then scored his second of the game in the 67th min when a brilliant through pass put him through on goal with only the keeper to bea. ‘Heart attack!’... in the 71st min of play through the form of Farouq whole stole the ball from the defender before sliding it past the outstretched goalkeeper.

Following their dismal end to last season, Sparta Cowboys looked a rejuvenated side when they beat Heart Sparks FC 7-1 to top the Div 4 league standings. Two goals from Samad in the first half saw the Cowboys take a comfortable 2-1 lead going into the break. The Cowboys literally dominated the second half with two goals a piece for Yan and Ayie before Man sealed the game for his side in the 67th min when he cooly slotted the ball into the back of the net from close range.

IKE IKE looked like potential title contenders in their 4-0 rout against Atlas FC. Having missed a couple of sitters during the course of the game, Atlas were lucky not to have gone away with an embarrassing scoreline. Following a couple of world class saves by the Atlas goalkeeper, Wawan finally broke the duct for his team with an acrobatic scissors kick in the 54th min. Nizar then made it 2-0 in the 70th min before Faizal curled a free kick into the top right hand corner of goal just a min later. Wawan then sealed the game for his side four mins from time when he volleyed a ball that had been parried onto his path into the back of the net.

Over at Coral Secondary School, Club life scored a dramatic winner two mins before full time to seal a hard fought 2-1 win over Deaf Utd. Led by First XI star Muhsin Johari, Deaf Utd took the lead in this clash thanks to Nahar, who took advantage of a defensive slip up before slotting the ball into the back of the net from close range. HT 1-0. A good run down the right flank by Club Life’s midfielder in the 66th min saw a law cross which was parried into the back of the net by Yasin after his first shot was acrobatically saved. Nordin sent his bench into a frenzy in 78th min with a sublime finish which saw his shot rattle off the post, past the outstretched goalkeeper after Deaf Utd had failed to clear the ball from a corner kick.

Ironfield battle to a hard fought 3-2 win over BMFS at East Spring Secondary School. But it was BMFS that took the lead in this tie in the 18th min through Mady who scored a diving header from a long cross. But their lead was quickly cancelled out just five mins later thanks to Vik who scored a nonchalant back-heel flick following twenty two passes according to teammates on the bench. They also claimed that the move had been part of their game plan right from kick-off. HT 1-1. Goals by Ryan and Hafiz in the second half were enough to cancel out Faruq’s 5th min effort earning Ironfield a sweet victory.
