Team Report

New season.Same old problems. First half was a brilliant battle with ike ike fc. It was an evenly contested first half with both teams testing each other. Atlas can thank their goalkeeper in keeping them goalless. In the second half, Atlas Fc were back to thier mistakes from season 1. As everyone start to feel the fatigue, a stupid defensive errors led to atlas conceding their first two goals. after which we never bounce back as ike ike fc found their rythem and scored two more. final score 4-0. kudos to ike ike fc. They really make us pay and took advantage of our players poor stamina.

Team Report

Today was the day that everyone of us was looking forward to, the start of the season to the league. It was a fine sunday morning to start off the first game of the season and the weather was unexpectedly cool. Although most of our players were very nervous since this is their first ever competitive league match, we managed to adapt to the game within a couple of minutes into the game.

The first half started with both teams having equal posession of the ball and the battle in midfield was intense. Ike-Ike's goalkeeper gave the team a scare when a lob shot from an Atlas player hit the crossbar and consequently the keeper which nearly ended at the back of the net. Nonetheless, Ike Ike managed to capitalise on the chances created and thoroughly deserved to win the match with goals coming in the 2nd half through Syazwan, Nizar and Faizal's effort. Syazwan contributed to the 1st goal with a cool acrobatic finish with his back facing the goal. The 2nd goal was scored by Nizar who toe poked the ball into the bottom right of the goal with the keeper well beaten. Syazwan added his tally to 2 goals for the day with the 3rd goal and Faizal capped off the impressive display with the solid performance with a thumper from a direct free kick. Also, credits should be given to the Atlas keeper for without his impressive display, the scoreline could have been more than 4-0. We would like to thank Atlas FC for the enjoyable, yet challenging game and their good sportsmanship. We wish them all the best for their future games.
