Amazingly we had 20 players who showed up for this game. The Enormous challenge in terms of giving everyone time to play keeping them happy. Luckily, 2 have decided not to play one of them being our prolific goalkeeper Sergei and another our manager Vitaly. We have replaced Sergei with Anthony - costly mistake as Anthony's goalkeeping skills were not fantastic (Predators had only 5-6 shots on goal) but his goal instinct was definitely missing as he managed to score in our last 4 games. On the opposite side, Predators strated with only 8 players with the rest of them being late to them game.
We didn't use this opportunity to field the strongest squad from the onset and decided to balance the team throughout the game. It didn't pay off. We squandered number of chances while having 3-man advantage, hitting crossbar, excellent saves, just bad shots in deadly positions. Eventually, as it usually happens, we had to pay as Predators quickly scored 2 goals just as they got full squad on the pitch. Both times their wingers were on the end of the ball with good finishing.
In second half, our pressure continued and again we let in a counterattack. All credit goes to Preadtor's No.9 who ran away from our 3 players to the goalline and passed back on top of penalty box, an easy one-time shot followed. We have finally replied with 2 nice goals of our own but it was not enough for the day.
