Team Report

NISFC came back from a two goal deficit to end of the match with a hard earn point. A goal from Amirul Rusydee gave NIS the lead 10 minutes into the game. Sloppy defending allowed the Southern Flowers to put 3 goals past Khairul Azhar to make 3-1. Khair Rusydi managed to give his team a fighting chance. However, the opponent manager to ponce on another poor defending to end the half 4-2. NIS made a switch to their formation at half time from 3-4-3 to an attacking 4-5-1 that proved to be the turning point. MOM Akif Khan hard tackling at the centre of the field single handledly stopped Southern Flowers in creating their attack. Javier Ho slotted the ball in back post to make it 4-3. In the dying minutes, NIS efforts were rewarded, subsitute Solehan Sawalludin's ambitious shot from half court hit the post but was rebounded to Alep Izuwan that hit the hand of the opponent. Hakim Azhar stepped up to slot away the penalty to end the match with a draw.

Team Report

Southern Flowers kicked off a brand new season with an entertaining 4-4 draw with NIS FC. Experimenting with a new formation, we fell behind to an early goal but roared back to a 4-2 lead at half time with inspired play from our deadly duo Bong and Yao.

However, fair play to our opponents who capitalized on a few of our lapses on concentration and a last minute controversial penalty to seal a draw. Not the result we wanted but an encouraging performance to begin our season!
