2 matches kicked-off in Week 20 of the PSB Academy Sunday Premier League Division 4.
En Fuego CF welcomed Temarista FC to Mayflower Secondary School in the 11am game. En Fuego were lucky winners in their match against Sparta Cowboys the previous weekend while Temarista had a week’s break from league action due to the postponement of the match with Adi-Dogg. The away side took time to get back to their rhythm of play and was soon on the back foot as the hosts took advantage and launched waves of attack at their goal. En Fuego struck 3 times in the game and were able to nullify any threats from Temarista to claim a deserving 3-0 victory.
Over at Coral Secondary School, Sparta Cowboys FC faced Adi-Dogg in the late kick-off. Both clubs were looking to get a positive result from the match after an indifferent Week 19. Fresh from their defeat at the hands of En Fuego, Sparta started the match like a team on a mission. They played the better football and created the better chances in the game. As much as Adi-Dogg could hold on, they tried but to no avail as they conceded 3 goals to their more determined opponents. It finished 3-0 in favour of Sparta Cowboys.

Week 18 of the PSB Academy Sunday Premier League Division 4 saw 3 matches taking place over the weekend.
Sparta Cowboys faced Southern Flowers FC in the early kick-off at Bedok View Secondary School. Both clubs had contrasting fortunes in Week 17 of the competition. While Sparta were on the receiving end of a 6-2 defeat by Singapore G FC, Southern Flowers won comfortably against En Fuego CF. From the get-go, it was evident that both clubs were desperate for the win as they went on the offensive. With both defences leaving huge gaps, the strikers took their opportunities to fire in the goals for their sides. In the end it was Southern Flowers that emerged victorious in the high-scoring match with a score-line of 6-4.
In another early match, Singapore G FC hosted En Fuego CF at Anderson Secondary School. After notching a win in Week 17, the hosts were confident of picking up another 3 points against an opponent who have been struggling in the league of late. And it was no surprise that Singapore G started the game like a house on fire. En Fuego were penned back in their own half for most of the match as they could not keep out Singapore G’s perpetual attacks. After the first goal was scored, the floodgates soon opened and the home side ended up winning comfortably by 9 goals to nil.
The last match of the day featured Adi-Dogg against NIS FC at Queensway Secondary School. While Adi-Dogg were not in league action the previous weekend, NIS suffered a 2-0 defeat to ADI XI’s FC in Week 17. Adi-Dogg showed no rustiness on the field of play as they started the brighter of the two sides. After waves of attack on the NIS’s goal, Adi-Dogg got the breakthrough thru Amirul Ramli. They soon added to their lead with goals from Khairi Kamsani aka Adek, VR, Muhammad Sulaiman aka Man and Muhammad Firdaus aka Fir. NIS tried to mount a comeback however they fell short and ended up losing by 5 goals to 3.

.
NIS FC welcomed ADI XI’s FC to Bedok Green Secondary School for the early kick off. Both clubs were hoping to bounce back to winning ways after suffering defeats in their last league matches. The match was a tight affair and chances were few and far between. In the end, ADI XI struck twice to claim the precious victory and condemn their opponents to a successive league loss. Final score NIS FC 0 – 2 ADI XI’s FC.
In another early game played at Ang Mo Kio Secondary School, Singapore G FC took on Sparta Cowboys FC. Despite not in league action in Week 16, Singapore G have been in good form recently. This was in contrast to Sparta Cowboys who have been on a downslide in recent weeks. The match started well for Singapore G as they controlled the majority of possession in the contest. It was not long before they found the back of the Sparta Cowboys net and never looked back. Sparta to their credit managed to score 2 goals of their own but was unable to reduce the deficit as Singapore G ran out comfortable 6-2 winners.
The final game of the day was between Southern Flowers FC and En Fuego CF. The match, played at Ang Mo Kio Secondary School, was the reverse fixture of the Week 7 tie that Southern Flowers narrowly won. Being the home side in this encounter, Southern Flowers were more composed in their play and clinical with their finishing. Their attacking play resulted in them scoring 4 goals with ease as they saw out the match to do the double over their opponents. En Fuego could only muster a single effort from Bahktiar Mohamed aka Bartz as they went down by the score line of 4 goals to 1.

2 matches were played in Week 15 of the PSB Academy Sunday Premier League Division 4.
The first match saw En Fuego taking on ADI XI’s FC at Anderson Secondary School. Both clubs have been experiencing a run of indifferent form and were looking to get a positive result from the match. The match was a slow burner as both sides took time to come up to speed and gain a foothold on the match. It took a brilliant individual performance by En Fuego’s Muhammad Syukri aka Syuqri to provide the difference. He struck twice to cancel out the goal from ADI XI to give En Fuego a slim 2-1 victory and ensured his side took home all 3 points.
In the following match at the same venue, Singapore G FC faced NIS FC hoping to do the double over their opponents. The two teams met earlier in Week 13 where Singapore G ran out 4-1 winners with ease. It was a case of déjà vu for NIS FC as they were again outplayed in every department by their more determined hosts. Asyraf ‘Acap’ Shalinuddin, Saufi ‘Apit’ Shamsudin and Shah Ashburne were the main men in front of goal as they got the goals to give Singapore G the convincing 3-0 victory and condemn NIS FC to another league defeat.

3 matches were played out in Week 13 of Division 4 of the PSB Academy Sunday Premier League.
In the early kick-off, ADI XI’s FC hosted Southern Flowers FC at Bedok South Secondary School. Bouncing back from a poor result the previous weekend, Southern Flowers seized the initiative by racing to a 2 nil lead thru goals from Chee Chong and Devin Yi. However the hosts were able to equalize and gain the lead in the match thru some brilliant play from their set pieces. The 3 points looked destined for ADI XI before a moment of brilliance from Kelvin in the dying moments of the match ensured that the visitors leave with a point from the exciting contest. “ We let slip a 2-0 lead to an opportunistic ADI XI who exploited the set pieces awarded to them. In the end it was deserving that we got a point from the game thru Kelvin’s late equalizer” said the Southern Flower’s Team Manager.
NIS FC and Singapore G FC took over the field at Bedok South for the clash at 1pm. While NIS FC won emphatically in their previous league match, Singapore G was on the wrong side of a hiding by ADI XI. It was then a surprise to see the visitors having the majority of possession in the game. Their possession was translated into goals, 4 to be precise, as they looked to run away with the points. A goal from Khair Rusydi was merely a consolation for NIS FC as the hosts went down 1-4 to their determined opponents.
The match day ended with a clash between Adi-Dogg and Temarista FC at Bedok Green Secondary School. Both teams went into the encounter on the back of several indifferent performances and were hopeful of claiming a decisive result from the match. The match started slowly with neither team interested in crossing the halway line and sitting back to defend. It was a game of few chances and it soon filtered into a dreary contest. It ultimately ended scoreless in a rarity for an X-League game as both teams went home with 1 point a piece.

Division 4 of the PSB Academy Sunday Premier League kicked off Week 12 with 3 matches taking place.
Singapore G FC hosted ADI XI’s FC in the early game at Anderson Secondary School. Both clubs had contrasting fortunes in their previous league games going into the contest. Singapore G suffered a narrow loss to Adi-Dogg while ADI XI triumphed against En Fuego in Week 11 of the competition. And it was the visitors who got off to a better start as they began exerting their influence in the game. Goals from Juraimi Om, Arif Ali and Syairuddin Hambali (2) soon ensued and ADI XI never looked trouble in the contest. It finished 4-0 in favor of the visitors as Singapore G suffered a second consecutive defeat.
Over at Ang Mo Kio Secondary School, Southern Flowers FC went head to head against Sparta Cowboys. While Southern Flowers were not in action the previous weekend, Sparta Cowboys endured a demoralising loss at the hands of NIS FC. Sparta looked the more determined side to claim all 3 points on offer. Their neat interplay and ball control allowed them to break down the resolute Southern Flowers defence and score 4 times in the match. Despite scoring 2 goals of their own, Southern Flowers did not have enough in their tank to over turn the result as they went down 4-2 to their more persistent opponents.
In the final game, NIS FC visited En Fuego CF at Bedok View Secondary School. After claiming a 6-3 victory over Sparta Cowboys the previous weekend, NIS started the game in confident fashion as they seized the initiative going forward. Goals from Khair Rusydi and Hisham Ismail allowed the visitors to maintain a 2-1 lead going into the interval. After the break it was the ‘Rozaidi Subadi Show’ as the NIS hitman struck a 2nd half hat-trick to lead his team to a comfortable 5-1 win over the woeful En Fuego side.

3 matches kicked off in Week 11 of the PSB Academy Sunday Premier League Division 4.
Adi-Dogg took on Singapore G FC at Ang Mo Kio Secondary School in the first game of the day. While Adi-Dogg was victorious in the league the previous weekend, Singapore G FC are back in league action after a 2 week absence. The match itself was short of any highlights as both teams were intent on sitting back and stopping the opponent from scoring. Zulkifli ‘Pendek’ Razali scored from one of the few forays into the Adi-Dogg penalty box as Singapore G FC netted their solitary goal of the match. Adi-Dogg were not to be outdone and they replied with 2 goals of their own as they sealed a precious 2-1 win.
En Fuego CF visited ADI XI’s FC at Anderson Secondary School looking to bounce back to winning ways after stumbling in the league in Week 10. Standing in their way was a strong ADI XI’s FC side who were rampant in their victory over Sparta Cowboys the previous weekend. Bahktiar Mohamed aka Bartz was the standout player for the visitors as he helped himself to 2 goals in the match. However that was insufficient to overcome the domination of ADI XI who have been in free-scoring form recently. Goals from Syairuddin Hambali (2), Zulfadhli Zulkafly, Ariffin Razali, Roy Roslan, Juraimi Om and Mohammad Hairil ensured ADI XI’s FC ran out comfortable 7-2 winners to pick up the 5th win on the trot.
Over at Bedok South Secondary School, NIS FC entertained Sparta Cowboys FC in the evening kick-off. This was the reverse fixture of the tie played in Week 5 where points were shared between the two sides. The match was a slow burner as both teams took time to exert their style of play in the game. NIS FC soon began to dominate possession and started to carve out goal-scoring opportunities. They managed to score thru strikes from Javier Ho, Amirul Rusydee, Rusyaidi Kamaruddin and a hat-trick from Khair Rusydi. Despite getting on the scoresheet 3 times, Sparta Cowboys were unable to prevent NIS FC from securing the 6-3 win and claiming all 3 points.

After Week 9 of the PSB Academy Sunday Premier League Division 4 saw only a single match being played, it was a full fixture list in Week 10 as 3 matches were held over the weekend.
Sparta Cowboys FC and ADI XI’s FC started the ball rolling in the 1pm match held at Anderson Secondary School. While Sparta did not have a match in Week 9, ADI XI cruised to an easy victory over NIS FC the previous weekend. The match was an open contest as both sides went all out in search of the desired victory. While Sparta managed to find the back of their opponent’s net 4 times, the all-out attack deployed by ADI XI resulted in 8 different scorers for their team; Mohammad Hairil (2), Zulfadhli Zulkafly, S.Kugan, Idzalie Inzanghi, Baharudin Sahal, Juraimi Om, Ariffin Razali and Baharudin Sahal. It finished comfortably in favour of ADI XI by the score of 9-4.
After suffering a comprehensive defeat the previous weekend, NIS FC was looking to bounce back against Temarista FC in a match at Bedok View Secondary School. Temarista themselves were in inconsistent form and were hopeful of gaining some points to aid their push up the league table. Contrary to the reverse fixture played back in Week 7 which was fast paced and high-scoring, this tie was more subdued and cagey as both teams looked to stop the other from playing their usual style of football. Khair Rusydi continued his fine vein of form to score the only goal for NIS FC to cancel out the solitary strike from Temarista as both sides had to settle for the 1-1 draw and 1 point a piece.
The final match of the day was between En Fuego CF and Adi-Dogg that took place at Bedok Green Secondary School. Both these sides met earlier in the competition and En Fuego edged their opponents out by a slim margin. It was an even contest for most of the match as both teams traded barbs and tried to wrestle the lead from each other. In the end it was to be Adi-Dogg’s day as they secured a narrow 3-2 win over their hapless opponents to overturn their reverse fixture defeat.

The match, held at Ang Mo Kio Secondary School, provided the opportunity for both clubs to get the 3 points on offer to aid their push up the league table. ADI XI was to be the more confident of the 2 sides as they convincingly defeated Temarista FC in their previous league match. The home side took control of the game from the get-go and rarely let their opponents had a sniff of their own goal. They managed to convert a number of those chances as Kaviraj, Juraimi Om, Ariffin Razali, Hasbullah Mohamed, Roy Roslan and Idzalie Inzanghi got onto the scoresheet. Temarista only managed to score twice thru out the contest as they suffered a 6-2 defeat at the hands of their Division 4 rivals.

As the X-league season begins to gather pace, 3 matches were played over Week 7 of the PSB Academy Sunday Premier League Division 4.
ADI XI’s FC welcomed Singapore G FC to Anderson Secondary School in the 11am kick off. Both clubs were going into the match on the back off recent league defeats and were hopeful of getting a positive result. The hosts started brightly and they got on the scoresheet thru a Juraimi Om’s double strike. Singapore G rallied back to score thru efforts from Saufi ‘Apit’ Shamsudin and Zulkifli ‘Pendek’ Razali. Kelvin, Devin Yi, Ngai Thai and You Wei scored the goals for the away side while Muhammad Hasif aka Bhai (2) and Bahktiar Mohamed aka Bartz replied for En Fuego as ADI XI notched up another vital victory. “ The game almost came with late drama as our opponents got really close to equalising in the dying minutes of the game. Great goals supplied from 4 different players showcased the goalscoring abilities of the Flower Boys. Overall it was a good result as we begin our 4-week break before we return to league action” said the Southern Flowers Team Manager after the match.
The final game of the day was played at Bedok View Secondary School and it featured NIS FC and Temarista FC. Both newcomers to the X-League have been experiencing indifferent starts to the season thus far and were optimistic of a good showing in this encounter. NIS FC took the early intiative and raced to a 3-1 lead with goals from Amirul Rusydee (2) and Khair Rusydi. However a series of sloppy play at the back saw them throw their advantage away as Temarista scored three times to end the first half in a 3-3 draw. After the break, Temarista took the lead for the first time with a beautiful free kick. The goal stunned NIS into action as they instigated a comeback. Khair Rusydi's silky dribble on the left flank proved decisive as he scored from a tight angle. 3 matches kicked off in Week 6 of the PSB Academy Sunday Premier League Division 4. Sparta Cowboys FC visited Bedok View Secondary School to face Temarista FC hoping to better their last league performance in Week 5. Having held NIS FC to a 1-1 draw, Sparta was determined in getting all 3 points against an inconsistent Temarista side. It was a fast paced game with both teams seeing plenty of action in their opponent’s penalty box. Mohammad Hazliryn was the stand out player for Sparta as he bagged himself a hat-trick to lead the way for his team. Although Temarista manage to pull 3 goals back, further goals from Danial Raihan (2) and Shah gave Sparta the eventual victory by a 6-3 score line. “It was a powerful display by the team to secure our first win of the season. Over at Ang Mo Kio Secondary School, Adi-Dogg hosted En Fuego CF in the early kick-off. The match was a tight encounter and chances were few and far between. The same venue provided the setting for the final game of the day between table toppers Southern Flowers FC and struggling Singapore G FC. Southern Flowers were on a high after defeating close rivals ADI XI’s FC recently while Singapore G FC gained a precious point against Adi-Dogg. The hosts started strongly and went ahead thru an effort from Park in the 10th minute. They looked to be cruising in the game before Singapore G stunned them with an equalizer on the stroke of half-time. That provided the motivation for the home side to rally on even stronger in the second half. In the 60th minute, Nicholas scored from a brilliant long range free-kick to give Southern Flowers the deserved win by a 2-1 score line. “We did well to hold off our opponents until the final whistle and kudos to them for giving us a great game” said a satisfied Southern Flowers team manager after his side’s victory.

Division 4 of the PSB Academy Sunday Premier League saw a bevy of football action as 3 matches kicked off in Week 5.
Southern Flowers headed into the top of the table clash with Adi XI in fine spirits after their resounding victory the previous week. ADI XI dominated the early possession but the home side kept their shape and concentration to repel the attacks. A cagey and competitive first half between the two sides ended goalless, capped by a strong and commanding display from Man-of-the-Match De Cheng. Southern Flowers slowly grew into the game and often looked to threaten on the counter attack. It paid off in the 70th minute as Chee Chong was released thru on goal before being clipped in the box. The Flowers top scorer dusted himself before sending the keeper the wrong way from the spot. There was to be further controversy as a quick counter attack saw a goal bound shot from Eun Seong denied by a defender on the line with his hands. Chee Chong stepped up again to score his second to seal a victory and the precious 3 points.
Over at Ang Mo Kio Secondary School, two teams suffering from recent defeats went head to head as Singapore G FC faced Adi-Dogg. With both sides needing the points to ensure their positions in the league table, they threw caution to the wind and went all out from the get go. With both defences ran ragged, 6 goals were shared between the 2 teams, as they had to settle for the 3-3 draw and a point apiece.
The final match of the day saw Sparta Cowboys meeting new boys NIS FC at Bedok South Secondary School. It was only the 2nd league match of the season for the visitors and despite the lack of match practice; they made up for it with youthful vigor. NIS FC had the majority of the possesion but couldnt score a goal from open play throughout the first half. A penalty was awarded to Sparta Cowboys midway thru the first half but it was missed. That allowed NIS to push ahead and they were rewarded when Khairul Azhar converted a spot kick of their own to give NIS the lead. However the lead was short-lived as Sparta pounced on a goalkeeping error to level the scores as the teams went into the break. Despite several close chances from both sides, neither were able to nick the much needed goal and the game ended in a 1-1 draw. “Great display by the Spartans even though we had players getting injured and going down to 9 men. We managed to hold our younger opponents off and contain them to a draw. Good job Spartans!” said a buoyant Sparta Team Manager after the match.

There were 3 matches played in Week 4 of the PSB Academy Sunday Premier League Division 4.
In the first of the early kick-offs, ADI XI’s FC faced Sparta Cowboys at Marsiling Secondary School. While the home side were going into the game on the back of a hard-fought victory over Adi-Dogg, Sparta Cowboys were recently involved in a high scoring draw against En Fuego CF. There were plenty of chances in the game for both sides. However it was the home side that seized the opportunities and delivered the knockout blows that rendered the contest over. Goals from Shaaban (2), Syahiran (2), Zulfadhli Zulkafly (2), Hasbullah Mohamed, Kaviraj and a guest player ensured ADI XI won the tie with a comfortable 9-1 score line.
Over at Anderson Secondary School, Temarista FC hosted fellow league debutant Singapore G FC in the first meeting between the two sides in the league this season. The home team has played two matches thus far this season and have yet to pick up a single point. They were hoping to improve on their performance against a Singapore G team that has won its only match of the league campaign so far. The more determined hosts went all out to garner a positive result as they created numerous chances against their opponents who were content in soaking in the pressure. It was only a matter of time before Temarista scored and they added a 2nd to their tally to nudge themselves in front in the contest. Shah Ashburne managed to score a goal for the visitors but it was too little too late as Temarista held on to win by 2 goals to 1.
The final match was held at Ang Mo Kio Secondary School as Adi-Dogg faced Southern Flowers FC. Both teams experienced conflicting results in their previous league matches and were looking to grab all 3 points on offer. It was the visiting Southern Flowers team that clinched the initial initiative thru an early effort from Park. Despite Adi-Dogg rallying to level the scores, Southern Flowers piled on the pressure and seized the lead again through goals from Weide, You Wei and Chee Choong. It ended 4-1 at half-time. It was more of the same after the break as Southern Flowers continued their fine form. Further goals from You Wei, Ngai Thai and Devin Yi ensured the home team finished the game strongly and recorded a resounding 7-2 victory over their opponents.

Week 3 of the PSB Academy Sunday Premier League Division 4 saw 3 matches being contested as the league campaign intensifies.
Two ‘ADIs’ faced off in the early kick off as ADI XI’s FC hosted Adi-Dogg at Marsiling Secondary School. The home side have managed to register their 1st league win two weeks ago while the visitors were only just about to start their league campaign. It was a fiery contest to say the least and before long, tempers started to flare. The referee flashed 3 red cards and dismissed 2 ADI XI players and 1 Adi-Dogg player as the match threatened to boil over. However common sense soon prevailed and the football match was able to be played. In the end, the home side picked up the win with the odd goal in 7. “ The match started to heat up when the referee started making double standard judgements. Very clear-cut off side decisions were not called and that led to 2 goals. Referee making unnecessary decisions led both teams to frustration and thus resulted in the sendings off. Nonetheless our opponents gave good sportsmanship in continuing the game till the final whistle” expressed a disappointed Adi-Dogg’s team manager after the game.
Over at Coral Secondary School, it was a first meeting of the season for 2 of the league debutants as Southern Flowers FC faced Temarista FC. Both teams have played once this season but have yet to claim a win in the campaign so far. Both sides struggled to maintain a foothold on the game and it turned into a scrappy affair. The hosts provided the only bright spot of the match as an incisive breakaway resulted in Kelvin slotting into the far corner to break the deadlock. Despite the efforts of Temarista, the backline of Southern Flowers marshalled by Man-of-the-Match Wei De stay resolute and held on to claim all 3 points as the hosts pick up their 1st win of the league season.
The final game of the day was at Anderson Secondary School as En Fuego CF did battle with Sparta Cowboys FC. Sparta were looking to bounce back from an opening day loss to Singapore G FC while En Fuego look to begin their league campaign with a positive result. It was an open game right from the first whistle as both teams created chances on their opponent’s goal. En Fuego scored thru efforts from Abdul Qayyum aka Alem Sanz (2), Kurniawan aka K. Raymond, Bahktiar Mohamed aka Bartz, Muhammad Syukri aka Syuqri and a guest player. Sparta managed to reply thru a goal from Danial Raihan and 5 goals from hotshot Hazzliryn! With both sides unable to find the winning goal, they had to be content with a point a piece in the 12-goal contest.

4 teams faced off in Week 2 of the new PSB Academy Sunday Premier League Division 4 season.
Sparta Cowboys FC welcomed new boys Singapore G FC to Regent Secondary School. Both teams were determined in starting their league season on a positive note as they went for the jugular right from kick-off. Star man Norahman Abu Bakar aka Man aided Sparta Cowboys’ cause with a goal in the 27th minute but their opponents soon took over control of the match and went on to bang in some goals of their own. A 68th minute strike by Soeyono Asmuri aka Budi proved to be a mere consolation as Singapore G FC ran out 5-2 winners. “ It was a great display by both teams. They gave us a tough fight and we were unlucky not to be able to finish off the many opportunities we had in the match” remarked a disgruntled Sparta Cowboys Team Manager after the final whistle.
Sembawang Secondary School provided the setting for the match up between 2 league debutants – NIS FC and Southern Flowers FC. A goal from Amirul Rusydee gave NIS the lead 10 minutes into the game. Sloppy defending then allowed the Southern Flowers to score 3 goals past Khairul Azhar to make the score 3-1. Despite Khair Rusydi scoring to narrow the deficit, Southern Flowers managed to net another goal to end the first half with a 4-2 lead. A tactical change at half time proved to be a turning point as NIS switched from 3-4-3 to an attacking 4-5-1. Man-of-the-Match Akif Khan’s hard tackling in the middle of the field single handedly stopped Southern Flowers’ attacking play. Javier Ho slotted the ball at the back post to make it 4-3. In the dying minutes, NIS efforts were rewarded; substitute Solehan Sawalludin's ambitious shot from the half-way line hit the post and rebounded to Alep Izuwan whose follow up hit the hand of an opponent. Hakim Azhar stepped up to slot away the penalty to end the match with a 4 -4 draw and earn NIS a well deserved point.

Two of Division 4’s newly joined teams came face to face in the first match of the latest PSB Academy Sunday Premier League season.
Temarista FC and ADI XI’s FC went head to head in a match held at Yio Chu Kang Secondary School. With both sides being new to the X-League, they were cautious in their approach throughout the game so as not to give anything away. ADI XI’s FC proved more clinical in front of goal and converted their chances to edge out their opponents by the odd goal in 9. The only blot on their result was a sending off of their player who picked up a second yellow late on in the game.
