Team Maestro

About Us

Team Maestros is a 3rd generation team, spun off from the defunct Maestro FC (2008-2013) and going all the way back to 1998 where the team was first formed by a group of Chung Cheng High (Branch) Secondary School Military Band boys.

The team first started by playing weekend friendlies and in 2008, former Captain Walter Tan formed Maestro FC with new players coming in to play more competitively in the Sunsports League. In 2011, Maestro FC decided to move to greener pastures and was among the first 8 teams to join the inaugural season of X-League. Since then, the team played in 4 seasons, going through 3 relegations and also achieving a 3rd place finish. Maestro FC was also given the informal title of "comeback kings" by X-League organisers after witnessing the never-say-die attitude of the team in fighting back from large deficits.

After 4 X-League seasons, Maestro FC was disbanded in late 2013 but like our "comeback kings" reputation, a new team was quickly born. Today, Team Maestros, known as the Black Lions, is a small and compact squad of seasoned and committed players.
