Team Report

1st half: Another good performance from Newton’s second team with the absence of Fir.ORG, Nazar, Faisal, Zarie, Bo Yanni, Adi, Alfian and Arian. Relentlessly, these second best selection include our youngsters Syafiq Yunos and Ilham Mazlan produces mouth watery performances especially Haziq heeded coaches instruction and he played well. With Baby in the midfield Hykal J and Kelvin alongside him they work very well commanding and controlling the play area. Hilmi not 100% fit combines extremely well with Al Harith picking up loose ends and distributing back into attacking mode assisting the midfields in support. Kumar and Haziq lining up just nice keeping up the pressure on counter attack when Kumar intercept to stop the ball had clear vision for Hykal J on his right wings, Hykal J pick up his run from Kumar’s pass, runs along his eye contact with Nashrin, Hykal J slot in a through ball on Nashrin’s dash beating the off side trap got himself clear one on one with the keeper chip over the ball for Newton, 0-1 lead Nashrin.

Socceritez managed to level the score when Newton did not clear the ball just outside the penalty box, a wicked chip by number 16 and the ball lob over into the top corner of the goal post to square at 1-1. Newtons keep up the pressure dispensing attacks when a run through pass from Hykal J to clear Nashrin’s solo-in from the right wing was foul on, brought down inside the penalty box. Hykal J step up and took the shot to drive in from the penalty spot for Newtons lead again, 1-2 (P) Hykal J.

Socceritez has vast experience with-in the team very diligent and assertive to enjoy the match. With few tricks up their sleeve able to produce few chances of their own pushing back Newtons deep into their own half causing pressure in defense. Newtons with immediate counter reproduces few tries from breaking the offside traps through Baby, Hykal, and Kelvin missing the post and over the top bar. Norizwan however, has his own chances yet slow picking up the flow of the fast pace of Newton’s game. Being away for awhile on his Prime league duties has somewhat off-tune his game with Newton. Yusof the new boy adapting to the squad relatively well still he has plenty to catch-up for. He is enjoying his moments with the rest of the team no doubt about it.

2nd half: In this half, few changes for Ridzuwan, Syafiq Y and Zafrie trying to balance alternative sets contingency plan. The key is midfield to be able to maintain and continue the balance, focus and momentum of the flow. Kumar and Al Harith just like twin brothers when switch for Hilmi concern for his injury, these three amigos are just it! With Ridzuwan and Syafiq Y blending into the squad there will be more choices to experiment selections for the coach. To relate the best defense is attack: Baby upfront is the pressure force to push up in attack with the support from Nashrin and Norizwan, while Zafrie commands the play area with the support from Hykal J and Kelvin producing and generating waves of chances.

At the lead of 1-2 from the first half, Newton maintain if not drives even better opportunity for Baby strike force for more goals with his agility and speed stretched out Socceritez’s defense. Newton awarded for free kick when Zafrie was foul on, Kumaran was wide alert instantly made eye contact for a lob pass on Baby’s run beating the off-side trap dash in to the box to cleverly place the ball over the keeper, 1-3 Baby. At this point-on the match gets very tense and aggressive, Newton kept pounding more passing football with control and simple touches Baby starting to display flicks and covert passes on Kelvin’s follow on runs into the defense suddenly found himself loose in the penalty box and tripped trying to win the ball from the keeper and fell on the penalty ground, in an awkward position while lying on the grass effortlessly he managed to flick the ball for the fourth goal, 1-4 Kelvin.
