The match between Schwarz Star and Socceritez promised to be a cracker and it didn’t disappoint. The only that that separated the sides in this feisty encounter was a special 30 yard shot in the first half which passed a screen of bodies before dipping in over the keeper . The home side had this to say after the game, “Socceritez controlled the midfield in the first half and had a few bursts into the box from various angles; though we eventually settled into a steady rhythm of shooting from far. We definitely had a better showing in the second half. We were braver in attacks and made direct runs into the box. We created a few significant one-on-ones chances which excited the spectators, but we just couldn’t get past the athletic opposing keeper. Full credit to our opponents”.
Two goal from Muhammad Isa coupled with a fine effort by Syed Abdul Hafiz saw Stamford FC hand Kallang Roar their third straight defeat. The win sees Stamford sit in fourth spot with 16 points, two behind Newton Heath.
