Team Report
The boys of Kamikaze MMXV came into this game knowing that the physicality of the opponents will be a factor. However, the team also knew that the lessons they had been gifted from the previous tie which ended 2-2 will come in handy.
Right from the first whistle, MMXV were first to every challenge and proceeded to close down their opponents at every opportunity.
Just when they least expected it though, a smart through ball from the Vastatores midfield saw their striker latch onto the ball and give his team the lead with a crisp finish.
The lead was short-lived though as new-signing Amirul took barely 4 minutes to get onto the scoresheet after custodian Alam provided an assist all the way from goal with a move that reminded the spectators of Allison.
While the first-half ended 1-1, Amirul took just 12 minutes to double his tally after a beautiful through ball from Fazrul. The game was sealed when Saran was fouled inside the penalty box and Amirul completed his hat-trick with a calmly taken penalty. But there was still time for our Comrade from Saturday’s Kamikaze FC, Saran, to mark his debut for MMXV and get his name on the scoresheet with a quick finish from a well-taken corner.
This was a win that has laid down a marker for our rivals. We are here to do our best. And will continue doing our very best!
