Going into the match seeking our first win, we decided to play a fast pace game. We were able to make the breakthrough when attacking midfielder Sim Kang Wei combined with our striker and right winger to score the first goal. From then on, the floodgates opened and Nan Hua FC extended the lead to 3-0 before halftime with goals from Lin Yao Hong and Chen You Wei. Nan Hua continued their dominating play in the second time and new striker Devin opened his scoring account by scoring two goals from open play. Chan Chee Chong then added on to the tallies before Ike Ike FC pulled one back. However by that time, Nan Hua FC could not be caught. Yao Hong scored the game's last goal by marauding through the opponent half before facing the keeper 1-on-1, slotting into the bottom corner.
