Week 25: Total Football Rangers end their season with victory!
Its quite rare that two sides face each other in the league in consecutive weeks. That was what exactly happened in Week 26 of the PSB Academy Sunday Premier League Division 4 as Total Football Rangers hosted Fajar Youngsters. Having lost 5-3 to Fajar the previous weekend, the hosts were determined to make amends in the return fixture. Employing a disciplined game-plan of counter attacking football, Total Football Rangers were able to thwart Fajar’s forays into their penalty area and even managed to conjure up chances of their own. They managed to score from two of those chances and despite Amat Jumaidi pulling a goal back for the visitors, there was no denying Total Football Rangers the victory as they exacted revenge for their loss last weekend and end the season on a high.

Week 24: Fajar Youngsters win to consolidate runner’s up position!
As the season draws to an end, Week 25 of the PSB Academy Sunday Premier League Division 4 saw 2 matches taking place.
Adi-Dogg visited Sparta Cowboys in the first match at Ang Mo Kio Secondary School. With the home team not having claim a single point in the past few weeks, it looked odds on for Adi-Dogg to win comfortably. And that was how the match panned out with Adi-Dogg having the majority of possession and creating the better chances. The visitors scored 3 goals without reply, as Sparta Cowboys were condemned to yet another demoralizing league defeat.
The second game to be held at Ang Mo Kio Secondary School featured Fajar Youngsters and Total Football Rangers. Both sides had mixed results in the previous weekend of football. While Fajar gained 3 points without having to kick a ball, Total Football Rangers gained a precious point against the league leaders 529’ers. The match provided plenty of goalmouth action as both teams took turns to take pot shots at the opposing goalkeepers. Amat Jumaidi was the star man of the match as he scored 4 times and assisted Wak Idris enroute to their 5-3 victory over the luckless opposition. The defeat was compounded further for Total Football Rangers when they had a player sent off late in the game.

Week 23: Lionheart rout Sparta Cowboys 6-0 to register big win!
It was another exciting weekend of football in the PSB Academy Sunday Premier League Division 4 as 2 matches were played.
Lionheart FC took on Sparta Cowboys at Anderson Secondary School. After an absence of 2 weeks, the home side were raring to go in the league against a Sparta Cowboys side that have been the regular whipping boys of the league. As such, it was of little surprise that Lionheart took the lead early on in the game and never looked back. They were dominant in possession and clinical in their finishing. The match ended in favor of Lionheart FC with the scoreline of 6-0.
In the second match held at Anderson Secondary School, champions-elect 529’ers entertained Total Football Rangers. Having an unassailable lead over the rest of the league, it was evident that the home side took their foot off the pedal as they allowed their opponents to enjoy vast amount of possesion and control in the game. It soon developed into the Taufiq Jumahat versus Muhammed Faizal match-up as both players delivered individual stand-out performances for their respective teams. It was apt that they were the goal scorers for their teams as both sides failed to find the winning goal and had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Week 22: Fajar Youngsters edge out Hellion to move into 2nd place
2 matches were played out in Week 22 of the PSB Academy Sunday Premier League Division 4.
First up was Adi-Dogg facing up against Sparta Cowboys FC at Anderson Secondary School. With both sides stuck in the wrong side of the league table, many were expecting a dreary contest. However it was the total opposite as the home side went on attacking mode right from the kick-off. Adi-Dogg peppered their opponents’ goalmouth with countless strikes and were deservingly in the lead. It was one way traffic from then on and the home side were relentless in adding to the scoreline. It finished in favour of Adi-Dogg with a 8-1 scoreline over the hapless Sparta Cowboys.
Over at Ang Mo Kio Secondary School, it was a battle between 3rd place Fajar Youngsters and 2nd place Hellion FC. The winner would stand to pip the other to the runner’s up position in the league. The match was a close contest with both sides not allowing much space for their opponents to venture into. Muhammad Yusuf was the star man for Fajar as he scored a magnificient goal and assisted in his team’s other 2 goals scored by Amat Jumaidi. Hellion fought back to narrow the deficit by a single goal but the hosts held on to nick the 3 points and move to second in the league standings.

Week 21: League leaders Total Football Rangers win big away from home!
Week 21 of the PSB Academy Sunday Premier League Division 4 saw only 1 match being contested and it featured mid-table Total Football Rangers and table-topping 529’ers.
The match played at Ang Mo Kio Secondary School, was the first time the 2 sides had faced each other this season. As such, it was a given that the match began on a guarded note as both teams adopted a cautious approach. Despite not playing a match since Week 18, 529’ers were the sharper of the 2 teams and they soon began to gain control of the match. The visitors’ quality was on display as they strung a number of penetrating attacks on the home side’s goal. 529’ers combined quick passing and lethal finishing to score 5 goals and despite the hosts pulling a goal back, it was too little too late. The match ended in favor of the visitors with the score of 5-1.

Week 20: Fajar Youngsters edge out Lionheart as Total Football Rangers win big!
It was another exciting weekend of football as two matches were contested in Week 20 of the PSB Academy Sunday Premier League Division 4.
In the early kick off, Fajar Youngsters took on Lionheart FC at Ang Mo Kio Secondary School. Both clubs went into the match level on points and were looking to gain the upper hand over the other. It was a close finish when these two sides met back in Week 8 with Fajar emerging victorious then. And they showed their superiority in this match as well. Led by Man-of-the-Match Muhammad Yusuf, Fajar piled on the pressure early on in the game. Lionheart succumbed to the pressure and conceded goals from Amat Jumaidi, Iryani Mohamed, Muhammad Nailul, Hairi and Yusuf. Although the visitors managed to score3 goals of their own, Fajar held on to win 5-3 and pick up the invaluable 3 points to maintain their position above their opponents in the league table.
Over at Coral Secondary School, fifth place Total Football Rangers welcomed the challenge of bottom place Sparta Cowboys. It promised to be a goal laden match as Total Football Rangers delivered a walloping to their opponents earlier in the season when they won with an emphatic 7-0 scoreline in Week 16. And it certainly did not disappoint as the hosts took control of the match proceedings right from the first whistle. Barraging their opponents’ goal with numerous attacks, Total Football Rangers found the net 7 times to leave Sparta dumbfounded. The only disappointment for the hosts was that they were unable to keep a clean sheet as Sparta managed to score a consolation goal. The match finished with the final score of Total Football Rangers 7-1 Sparta Cowboys.

Week 19: Lionheart do the double over Hellion!
Week 19 of the PSB Academy Sunday Premier League Division 4 saw two matches being contested as teams challenge for precious points in their climb up the league table.
The first match was between Total Football Rangers and Adi-Dogg at Anderson Secondary School. The last time Total Football Rangers played in the league, they suffered a home loss at the hands of Hellion FC. Adi-Dogg on the other hand were recent victors over Lionheart FC. However, it was Total Football Rangers who had the better start to the game. Led by Man-of-the-Match Dillen Selvarajoo, the home side mounted countless attacks on their opponents’ goal. Dillen helped himself to 2 goals and assisted team mate Sugan to another brace. Although Adi-Dogg managed to pull 3 goals back, the hosts held on to their lead and recorded a slender 4-3 win and claim all 3 points.
Over at Ang Mo Kio Secondary School, 2nd place Hellion FC hosted 4th spot Lionheart FC. Back in Week 9, Hellion lost narrowly to the same opponents and were looking to avenge the defeat. The match was a tense and tight affair as both teams were wary of their opposition’s counter attacking play. Lionheart struck 3 times to counter Hellion’s 2 goals and held on to win 3-2 and do the double against Hellion. With the win, Lionheart moves to within a single point of their ooponents in the league table.

Week 18: 529’ers collect another 3 points to cement top position
It was another weekend of action packed football as 2 matches were played in Week 18 of the PSB Academy Sunday Premier League Division 4.
Ang Mo Kio Secondary School provided the setting for the clash between Adi-Dogg and Lionheart FC. While Adi-Dogg were still reeling from their loss to Fajar Youngsters the previous weekend, Lionheart FC go into the match on the back of a victory from their last league match. Despite Lionheart being the favorites in the contest, Adi-Dogg were relentless and were not giving up without a fight. As both teams tried to gain an advantage in the game, it was Adi-Dogg who took their chances well and scored two goals to end up winning 2-1 and claim all 3 points.
In the other match played at Coral Secondary School, bottom placed Sparta Cowboys went head to head with league leaders 529’ers. It was a clear mismatch from the get-go as the home team struggled to cope with the offensive prowess of the away side. Led by the in-form Fareed Gaffor, 529’ers piled on the pressure on the Sparta goalmouth throughout the match. It was a matter of time before they got the breakthrough and never looked back from that point on. Two goals from Taufiq Jumahat and a strike by Mujaheed Idris decided the tie as 529’ers won comfortably with the same scoreline when they defeated Sparta in their first league meeting in Week 9.This Week's Table

Week 17: Fajar Youngsters and 529’ers ease to victory as Hellion made to work hard for the 3 points
The action comes thick and fast in the PSB Academy Sunday Premier League Division 4 as 3 matches were played in Week 17.
Fajar Youngsters took on Adi-Dogg at Ang Mo Kio Secondary School and were looking to improve on their recent run of form. The visitors were also in search of victory after only managing a draw in their previous league match. Amat Jumaidi proved to be the star player in the tie as his all-round control and distribution allowed his team to wrestle control of the game. The Man-of-the-Match netted a goal as well to add to strikes by Muhammad Yusuf and Shafie as Fajar Youngsters ran out easy 3-0 winners.
Over at Bedok View Secondary School, Dboyz hosted 529’ers as the visiting team aimed to do the double over their opponents. Back in Week 2, 529’ers smashed 5 goals against the hapless Dboyz and it was more of the same in this encounter. 529’ers created the better chances and were rewarded with goals from Muzzammil Malek, Taufiq Jumahat (2), Noh Shukor, Afiq Osman and a guest player. The home side were not able to create any clear-cut chances and ended up on the wrong side of a 6-0 drubbing.
The last match was between Total Football Rangers and Hellion FC and it was played at Bedok View Secondary School. Coming off a big win the previous weekend, Total Football Rangers were looking for another 3 points against a Hellion side that only managed one in their last league game. It was the visitors that started brightly and were denied by some good goalkeeping by the opposition keeper. As both teams grew into the match and threathen to cancel each other out, up stepped Darwin Loh to be the star man of the match. He scored 2 brilliant goals to cancel out Mazvi’s strike for the hosts. In the end, the Hellion held on and secured a precious 2-1 away victory.

Week 16: Total Football Rangers clinch another win with considerable ease
3 matches were played out over Week 16 of the PSB Academy Sunday Premier League Division 4.
First up at Anderson Secondary School, Lionheart FC played host to Dboyz. Both teams were looking to improve on their league performances after suffering disappointing results in the previous weekend. Both sides created numerous chances and took turns to dominate the match proceedings. In the end, it was Lionheart who made their efforts count and struck the back of the goal 5 times to register a 5-2 win over the woeful Dboyz who have only managed a single victory in the month of November.
Over at Mayflower Secondary School, Adi-Dogg visited Hellion FC hoping to build on their league victory the previous weekend. Hellion on the other hand were back in action after a week’s break and looking to claim the 3 points on offer. With both sides going all out for the win, defensive lapses in their play allowed their opponents to take advantage and resulting in a high scoring game. Both Hellion and Adi-Dogg were unable to push for the elusive winner and both teams had to settle for a point each as the game ended in a 4-4 draw.
In the final game played at Ping Yi Secondary School, Sparta Cowboys faced Total Football Rangers. This was the first time both teams were facing each other in the league campaign. After a cautious opening period, it soon beacme one way traffic as Total Football Rangers dominated the game. Sparta had no answer to their opponent’s supremacy in front of goal and were penned back in their own half for most of the match. The Sparta goalkeeper ended up picking the ball from the back of his net 7 times as a rampant Total Football Rangers cruised to a comfortable 7-0 away victory.

Week 15: Adi-Dogg bring Youngsters back to ground with defeat
Week 15 of the PSB Academy Sunday Premier League Division 4 weekend saw 3 matches being contested.
In a match at Mayflower Secondary School, Dboyz hosted Sparta Cowboys FC. Both sides experienced disappointing results the previous weekend and were looking to push on for the victory. As both teams went in search of the elusive goal, they were careless at the back and allowed their opponents to take advantage. It finished as a 1-1 draw as Dboyz and Sparta had to settle for one point instead of the desired three.
Total Football Rangers went head to head with Lionheart FC at Ping Yi Secondary School with both sides still yet to find any regularity in their performances. After a disappointing draw in their last match, Total Football Rangers were looking to go one better with a victory over their opponents who lost their previous league match. And they managed to make their chances count as they struck thrice to secure a slim 3-2 victory over the hapless Lionheart team.
Over at Sembawang Secondary School, the young guns of Fajar Youngsters visited Adi-Dogg hoping to build on their excellent showing from their previous league match. This time however, Adi-Dogg provided a much sterner test. The more experienced hosts were able to counter the efforts created by Fajar Youngsters and took control of the match. Adi-Dogg’s clinical finishing resulted in them scoring 6 goals in contrast to the 2 netted by Iryani Mohamed and Amat Jumaidi from Fajar Youngsters and it ended 6-2 in favour of the worthy winners.

Week 14: Fajar Youngsters clinch big victory!
3 matches were played over the weekend of Week 14 in the PSB Academy Sunday Premier League Division 4.
In the early kick-off, Sparta Cowboys were looking to bounce back from a defeat the previous weekend as they hosted Fajar Youngsters at Sembawang Secondary School. Fajar Youngsters were on a high after ending 529’ers unbeaten run in their last league match. The match itself proved to be a goal spectacle as both teams contributed to 13 goals scored! The bulk of them were scored by the away team as strikes from Amat Jumaidi (3), Izzudin (2), Hairi,Ezra, Haziq, Iryani Mohamed, Muhammad Nailul, Wak Idris and Muhammad Yusuf gave Fajar Youngsters a conclusive 1-12 away win over their opponents.
Over at Mayflower Secondary School, a double by 529’ers hotshot Taufiq Jumahat salvaged a point for his side as they drew 2-2 with Hellion FC. Despite the efforts of Man-of-the-Match Mujaheed Idris who was instrumental in most of his team’s play, 529’ers were unable to get back to winning ways after their recent loss to Fajar Youngsters. Hellion will be the more disappointed of the two teams as they were hoping for another win and claim 3 points in the league.
In the final match played at Anderson Secondary School, Dboyz visited Total Football Rangers and were hopeful of continuing their good run of results in the league. Rangers on the otherhand were smarting from their away loss to Sparta Cowboys the previous weekend. As both teams went in search of the win, they ultimately cancelled each other out. In the end, both sides had to be content with a 2-2 draw and left with 1 point in the bag.

Week 13: 529’ers unbeaten run ended by Youngsters!
It was a packed line-up of matches as Week 13 of the PSB Academy Sunday Premier League Division 4 rolled out.
Hellion FC took on Total Football Rangers at Ping Yi Secondary School as both teams were seeking precious points to climb up the league table. Both sides were evenly matched and despite the efforts of Khairufi and Taha, Total Football Rangers were narrowly beaten by Hellion by the score of 3-2.
Over at Mayflower Secondary School, goals from Iryani Mohamed, Muhammad Nailul and Amat Jumaidi helped Fajar Youngsters claim all 3 points against a resilient 529’ers. Taufiq Jumahat scored for the hosts but it was a case of too little, too late as 529’ers suffered a league defeat for the first time in recent weeks.
Sparta Cowboys welcomed the visit of Dboyz at Bedok Green Secondary School. The away team was hopeful of claiming a victory against a Cowboys side that have been unable to ‘buy’ a win all season long. The visitors started the brighter of the two teams and they were able to gain a foothold on the game. Sparta Cowboys offered little in terms of attacking play and it eventually ended as an away victory for Dboyz with the score of 4-2.
The last match between Lionheart FC and Adi-Dogg was played at Sembawang Secondary School. Lionheart were hoping to build on the momentum after securing a victory in their last league match. However, despite a Man-of-the-Match performance by Malik Nasir, the home side were not able to match up to the visitors’ attacking and passing play and ended up on the wrong side of 5-3 scoreline. It was a much deserved victory for the gutsy Adi-Dogg team.

Week 12: Rusty Rangers lose out to Fluid Lionheart
There was only one match contested in the PSB Academy Sunday Premier League Division 4 over the weekend.
The match played at the Bedok Green Secondary School turf featured Lionheart FC and Total Football Rangers. The visitors were playing in only their 2nd league match of the season. Being away from the field of play certainly contributed to a lack of team cohesion and they were soon penned back by the more fluid Lionheart. Aided by Man-of-the-Match Ridhwan who scored two goals, the home side were able to defeat their opponents with the score of 4-2. Total Football Rangers would hope that their next league match is not too far away for them to bounce back from this result.This Week's Table

Week 11: 529’ers continue winning streak in the league
3 matches were played over the Week 11 of the PSB Academy Sunday Premier League Division 4.
In a match played at Naval Base Secondary School, Hellion FC welcomed the visit of Dboyz who were playing in the league after a 2 week absence. The hosts were hoping to stop a wretched run of form in the league which saw them lose their recent match against Adi-Dogg. It was an evenly fought encounter with limited chances for both sides. In the end, a goal a piece from each team was all they could muster and it ended 1-1 to give both sides a valuable point.
Over at Ang Mo Kio Secondary School, a Man-of-the-Match performance by Fadhlee Gaffor enabled his team 529’ers to pick up a precious victory against Adi-Dogg. After claiming easy victories in their previous matches, both teams were looking to add another 3 points to their tally. It however was to be 529’ers day as goals from Taufiq Jumahat (2), Annuar Zuhaili and Noh Shukor settled the contest as the homse side recorded a 4-2 win.
Noor Fadhli was the toast of his team as Lionheart FC ran out 6-1 winners away at Sparta Cowboys. The match played at Bedok Green Secondary School was an absorbing encounter with the home side looking to avoid a second loss in consecutive weeks. However they were undone by the individual brilliance of Noor Fadhli as the star man netted a fine hat trick to lead his team to a victory. It was much needed win for Lionheart after suffering an unclucky loss the previous weekend.

Week 10: Finally a win for Adi-Dogg!
After registering victories in their respective matches the previous week, Lionheart FC and 529’ers do battle in Week 10 of the PSB Academy Sunday Premier League Division 4. In the match played at Peirce Secondary School, it was 529’ers that got the better of their opponents and thrashed them 9-1. Week 9: Mixed fortunes for Hellion & Lionheart
It was another exciting weekend of football in the PSB Academy Sunday Premier League Division 4. Hellion FC hosted Lionheart FC while 529’ers took on Sparta Cowboys FC.
In the first match played at Naval Base Secondary School, Hellion FC was looking to build on their fine run of form and gain another victory after winning against Sparta Cowboys the previous weekend. Lionheart FC meanwhile are yet to garner any points in the league thus far. Thus it came as a surprise as the visitors fought the odds to win 4-3 and register their first win of the season. Hellion will look to bounce back from the shocking result while Lionheart looks forward to more gutsy displays on the pitch.
Over at Bedok South Secondary School, 529’ers got the better of Sparta Cowboys FC and garnered an easy 3-1 victory. Goals from Fahmi Naim, Taufiq Jumahat and Muzzammil Malek cancelled out K. Jegan’s early strike for the visitors. The win extends 52’ers unbeaten streak in the league campaign to 6 matches. A gracious team manager for Sparta Cowboys had only good things to say of the victors – “ It was a hard fought match. Our opponents played really well and deserved the win. We look forward to the return match against them.”

Week 8: Fajar Youngsters bag first win of the season!
The PSB Academy Sunday Premier League Division 4 Week 8 saw 3 matches played over the weekend.
After suffering their 1st loss of the season the previous week, Hellion FC bounced back to claim another victory at the expense of league newcomers Sparta Cowboys. In the match played at Naval Base Secondary School, Darwin Loh was the star man for Hellion as he contributed 2 goals enroute to his side’s 1-6 away victory. A downbeat team manager for Sparta Cowboys had this to say after the match – “ It was a great fight for the first 20 minutes. But we were complacent in letting our opponent get into our half too much. Hellion proved to be the better side in the end and was able to make sure all their chances were well taken.”
Over at Naval Base Secondary School, a Muhammad Yusuf inspired Fajar Youngsters bagged their 1st win of the season against Lionheart FC. With both teams yet to pick up any points in the league so far, it was the visitors who had the edge and garnered a slim 1-2 win. Nailul added to Muhammad Yusuf’s strike to give victory for the team playing in only their 3rd match of the new season.
In the final match played at Peirce Secondary School, a hapless Adi-Dogg suffered another loss as they went down 1-4 to Dboyz. This was Dboyz’s 2nd league win of the season after they had earlier beaten the same opponent in the reverse fixture in Week 5. Adi-Dogg will be wondering what more will they have to do to get that elusive first point to kick-start their league campaign.

Week 7: No stopping 529’ers!
Two matches were played over the weekend in the PSB Academy Sunday Premier League Division 4.
In the first game at Orchid Park Secondary School, Adi-Dogg suffered a third successive defeat against a side playing their first competitive league match. Total Football Rangers claimed the victory through goals from Man-of-the-Match Muhammed Faizal (2) and Kelvin Boo Choo Yong. This result means that Adi-Dogg are still pointless after playing 3 matches.
Over at Bedok Green Secondary School, runaway leaders 529’ers made light work of Hellion FC as they registered a comfortable 5-0 away win. 529’ers showed more tenacity in possession and ruthlessness in their finishing to win by a big margin. Hellion FC who were on a fine vein of form themselves could not match up to the away team’s tactics and ended up losing for the first time this season.

Week 6: Adi-Dogg suffers consecutive loss while Sparta Cowboys start off with a draw
Anderson Secondary School provided all the action in the PSB Academy Sunday Premier League Division 4 weekend.
Adi-Dogg suffered a second defeat in as many games and lost 1-6 against league leaders 529’ers. They had no answer to 529’ers firepower in front of goal and were on the receiving end of strikes by Noor Izhar, Mujaheed Idris, Taufiq Jumahat (2), Afiq Osman and Izwan Abdul Rahman. 529’ers have now won all 4 of their league matches so far.
In the late kick-off, Hellion FC were held to a 2-2 draw by league newcomers Sparta Cowboys FC. Hellion were looking for their 3rd win of the season and led through Darwin Loh’s early strike. Ahmad Shafiq aka Hidz equalised for the Cowboys in the 30th minute and the tie was level at half-time. Sparta Cowboys then came back stronger after the break and managed to steal the lead through Muhammad Hilmi. A piece of poor play by the visitors then allowed the hosts to snatch a goal and pick up a crucial point and maintain their unbeaten run of form. A disappointed Cowboys’ team manager remarked “ Great game for the start of our league campaign with our new players. We showed positive attitude to fight and come back after conceding a goal in the 1st half. It was unfortunate that we granted our opponents an equalizer after taking the lead. They really gave us a tough game.”

529’ers notched their second win on the trot as they brushed aside Dboyz 5-0 at the match played at Yio Chu Kang Secondary school. The match itself was a feisty affair with 5 yellow cards handed out. Taufiq Jumahat claimed the Man-of-the-Match award as he led the way with 2 goals for his side to claim all 3 points.
Over at Woodlands Secondary School, goals from Amat Jumaidi and Wak Idris were not enough to secure 3 points for Fajar Youngsters as Hellion FC rallied to a 4-2 victory in a compelling contest.
