1st half;
In this first half line-up, Ridzuwan, Ayul, Zafrie and Arian to start in the second half in support for the second strength team and the attendance for today’s match was two teams line-up possible. Newton was just warming up in the first 5-10minutes rambling the ball around in simple passes; Bo Yanni has been missing for the past couple of weeks perform with steady flow of his football, excellent from him! Combine with Mus the Newton’s pioneer ramble it well in the midfield and contain the game. In the 22minutes continuous heavy pounding by Newtons multiple chances came from Kelvin, Mus and Nashrin and the ball just went wide, Schwarz Star was lucky they did not concede the goal. Next, good vision and good move by our youngest player Syafeeq Hammaady in this half only 17s, has been with Newton since he was 15s- size up his talent with Mus and Bo Yanni his seniors paring in the midfields produce excellent work quick moves with Kelvin and slot in a clear pass for Kelvin for a try and save by the keeper. Kelvin one thing for sure the boy with determination ready to enjoy his game, well control by Norizwan from the left advance his move with Kelvin put him clear and scored 0-1, Kelvin. With his poaching advance and threats at the goal mouth Kelvin continue his effort pressuring the build up attacks when Alfian produces team work effort for Mus/Ridzuwan well control to take a fluke shot from outside the penalty box on a run-in Kelvin into the goalkeeper vision causing distraction and the ball bounce in-front of the keeper and went in for Newton’s second goal 0-2, Mus/Ridzuwan. Schwarz Star produces good football forcing Newtons at time fall deep in its own half. When Hilmi had to track back a clear run with his sliding skills to block the attempt and recover the ball. Guest player- Mus pick-up yellow for a foul on number 58, Newton continue to display attacking football on a good team work between Norizwan and Bo Yanni for Kelvin on a clear run to score the 3rd but hit the bar.

2nd;
Today Newton had overwhelming turn-up for the match of 22players and for this second half just the keeper stay in goal the rest are second strength team with four (4) youths in the line-up. This set the boys are playing extremely well like Wayne, Arif creating chances after chances attempting at the goal. Ayul was magnificent with his intelligent distribution and play maker role they are just as equal as the first team. The pressure mounts with the combination of midfield effort Arian, Ayul and Zafrie command the game and distribute chances when on the 22minutes Ayul was foul just outside the box and I prompted Ayul to take the free kick and he just put it at the corner for Newtons third goal, 0-3 Ayul. This is a good display from our second team showing clever play, team work and simple football. Producing effortless chances but Schwarz Star defended well to concede the fourth. Twenty minutes into the game, substitute: Aris / Haziq, Syafeeq H / Shafiq Y, Nashrin / Arif, Bo Yanni / Syabaan. Final score 0-3 to Newtons and another clean sheets from Haikal V.

I am very satisfied with the development I am seeing; it is an effort of the team spirit that has grown. With the youngsters merging from Newton Prodigy and Newton Excellence into Newton Old School, Syafeeq Hammaady was just getting better and better since he came into Newtons at the age of 14s years old. Now with Geylang International FC, COE for U17s, he really has shown his talent when played with the big boys and awarded man of the match for this game. Syafeeq introduce his other friends Sya’aban and Arif both are from COE’s U17s as well.
