Match report

It was our first match of 2013 & our boys are gearing up to redeem ourselves after a string of poor run in 2012. 

It was a very hot midday game with temperature above 30 degree celsius.

We start off with cleego, Eman & Hamzah at the back.  Looks like a promising backline with hard tackling & commanding defenders. 


But at 6 min Eman gave away a needless freekick. Mukhtar directed the freekick straight to the keeper but with his (keeper) vision covered, he fumble the ball in. 

With string of miss timed tackle, Eman was caution on 14th minute. 

As the sky opens up for the sun to shine, our defence continue to feel the heat, the opponent continue to to terrorise our defence line, unlocking our floodgate is the last thing that we always hate it.

We conceded 5more goals in 21st, 22nd, 27th, 30th, 34th min due to poor defending. We had few shots on target but fail too close to the keeper. 

Malik as always the midfield general who try to move around assisting the defence & attack but his presence alone is not enough to keep the opponent at bay. He need more assistance in that area.

With 6 goals down at half time, we made several changes, with Mahat Marshalling the defence. 

It was a great defensive switch. A great through ball to Hamzah who beats the offside trap but his indecisive shot was side netted. We manage to unlock the opponent defence laps. Few more through ball towards him but his pace & injury caught up with him. 

We had several opportunity with wan neymar freekick that hit the wall & other shot straight to the keeper.

The weather was too hot that several players from both team suffered heat stroke, dehydration, sunburns & blisters. Wan neymar was unable to continue due to shortness of breath & heat exhaustion. Haidar also suffer The same fate.
 
Cleego on the other hand was caution for taking an abrupt break to drink water & wash face without informing the referee.

Mahat & Hafiz did well for the 2nd half with brilliant performance but it's too late to save the team. 

So it's an opening year defeat but we must learn from every mistake that was made. It's ok if opponent think that we are an easy push overs but once we can gel as a team, we are sure to give a competition to the league.

Remember, Failure is a step towards success. Every goals we concede is another goal that we might achieve.
