This was a team to beat but however, we dint managed to get the job done and was lucky enough to hold for a draw.
The chemistry in the team wasn't there, it looked as if our guys weren't ready for this game, or we were just getting complacent after the superb victory we gotten from the previous. Whatever the reason is, we drew a game that we were supposed to be getting the 3points and this result is disappointing, we almost lost it.
Our defense department was found sleeping in many occasions and one of the many, we allowed their midfielder to play a through ball for their striker and allowed an one-on-one situation, he grabbed the chance and placed it into the net. 0-1 Star FC.
Again for all Wolves to note, PLAY TO WHISTLE. We paid money for the organizers to get refs & even linesmen for this competition. So, please play along the whistle and play on even if there is a wrong call. Whatever it is, let the fielded-captain to settle any disputes. ( Daniel Soh please take note. )
Clayton Soh was found clashing with the defenders in some occasions which shouldn't be happening. Communication is much needed in that area!
Much was focused on the MOM, Edwin, he was literally everywhere on the pitch! 110% work rate and commitment was the key contributor for his man of match award. We need that extra drive in all players and we look forward to see that! (However, Edwin please be more prepared and ready prior to game, minutes off to kickoff and your laces wasn't even tied and still lighted up a cigg. )
70th minute, Calvin played in a square ball from the wing and Alex places it into the net. Good play over there!
No fingers pointed, we drew as a team. Even though we were lacking of several 'key players' but in MWFC, we play as a team, not just because anyone is missing, we cant play how Wolves play! We have a strong squad of over 30players, everyone is equally important to Midland Wolves! & we sincerely meant it! about game time issues, as promised, we will try our best to manage it!
*However, we will not tolerate players who go missing without any valid reason. We demand the basic discipline in each individuals and such issues shdnt be happening.
Lets get over this disappointing result and lets step up our game and show results for the next!
