It was like a team rejuvenated. The Lionhearts got their act together and trounced the Northern Warriors 6-0. Now boasting 2 foreign players from Chile and Spain, the team looked more confident on the ball and the combination of the 2 Spain-influenced players got the team to play a bit more like Tiki-Taka.
Ivan Molina opened the scoring and then the floodgates simply opened as scorer turned provided for 6 different players to score.
Hanaffi, Adam, Udin, Haziq and Wawan made the scoresheet today.
Despite the big defeat for the Northern Warriors, we give much respect to our opponent who still kept their spirits high and still jested with candour during and after the game. We may have won big, but we were more educated by the opponent's spirit. Something our boys need to learn.
