Team Report

Cool weather has finally landed on Bedok. The plan for the game was similar to the previous one - try to press opponent all over the pitch, play high offside line and feed Bugra with passes. We had a nervous start as our defense was a bit shaky. In the first 20 minutes, Predators had many chances to score hitting crossbar ones. Luckily for us, they were not very sharp with the last shot. Nevertheless they didd break the deadlock with a nice move on their left flank. All credit goes to No.6 (No.24 in old blue uniform) who lured our right defender (myself) up the pitch and then quickly turned around to get a one-touch pass going one-on-one with our goalie. An early stabbing shot has followed catching off guard both the keeper and our defender on the goal-line. Being down one goal we start to play much better and had several chances to score with Pavel V unable to convert a low cross into empty net by awkwardly stepping over the ball. 1-0, it ended in the first half.
We started to dominate the game in the second half constantly threatening Predator's goals. The equalizer was the result of a corner kick. Our right defender (myself) served a high ball which landed behind the back post where our right midfielder (guest) redirected it towards penalty spot finding Rizal alone, who easily kicked the ball into the net. We had more chances afterwards but yet again it was not Bugra's or Pavel V's best day with Bugra once hitting the post from one-on-one position. To their credit, Predators did try to push for the winner in the end with numerous corners and earning many free-kicks but the final whistle caught us in counterattack. 1-1 was the final score.
MOM for opponent goes to No.6 (No.24 old shirt), I think Razak but I may be wrong. MOM for us should go to Rizal but he is not yet listed so as the assisting guest player; therefore, I decided to give it to myself for the corner delivery and spending time to write post-match reports ;)
