  • Week 3: Anyone can be beaten!

    Anyone can be beaten in Division 2 of the Sunday Premier League and LTK proved that this week beating highly fancied Berossia Dokmano 5-2 in a thrilling encounter at Naval base Secondary. Special mention for Man of the Match Isnurhamdan Alatdin who scored a hat-trick in that tie. Over at Marsiling Secondary two goals from Man of the match Tan Kok Siang saw POS FC score an impressive 4-2 win over Street Predators to move them up to second spot.

    Sometimes you need a tinge of luck to churn out a win and Sparta Cowboys got just that with four mins left to play in their tie against Entertainers FC. The Cowboys had this to say after the game, “Entertainers dominated play for the first 15mins of this tie resulting in two goals. We were lucky to have pulled a goal back soon after and managed to score a second going into the break. The second half was particularly tough with both sides chasing the winner. Entertainers wee unlucky to have conceded a goal towards the end of the game but we’ll take what we get. Bang! Bang! Three points in the bag.”

    Goals from Bugra Inceler and Mohamad Farizal saw OneHeart Brothers and USSR UTd play to a 1-1 draw at naval Base Secondary. The Russians had this this to say at the final whistle, “It was an even game with plenty of chances for both teams. OHB hit crossbar twice and USSR Utd wasted at least 3 one-on-ones. Credit (MOM) goes to OHB goalkeeper for keeping USSR from scoring. Bugra is again MOM for us due to important goal and continuous persistence even though he should have being scoring more with his high standards. It would be exciting to play either OHB or Maestro in the X-cup, since now we know both teams.”

  • Week 2: 35 Goals in Four Matches

    Division 2 of the Sunday Premier League saw 35 goals scored in four matches this week resulting in an astonishing average of 8.75 goals per game. First off, USSR Utd maintained their unbeaten record when they edged Sparta Cowboys 6-5 at Ang Mo Kio Secondary thanks to goals from Sergey Gulyaev (2), Bugra Inceler (2) and Man of the Match, Pavel Volkov (2). A Hat-trick by Muhammad Nur Hakim was not enough to stop OneHeartBrothers from kicking off their season with a defeat as their side fell 4-3 to POS at Anderson Secondary.

    Over at Bedok View Secondary, Entertainers FC beat LTK FC 5-1 in a tale of two halves. Man of the Match James Ou gave the Away side the lead in the 15th min before Isnurhamdan Alatdin equalized for LTK just seven mins later. LTK would go on to dominate possession in the first half although both sides went into the break tied at 1-1. The second half however was a completely different story as Entertainers stayed true to their team name hitting four past their opponents.

    Berossia Dokmano took a step towards proving to the social footballing community why they must surely be the team to beat for the title as they disposed of Street Predators 9-2 in a game which saw the home side reduced to nine men.

  • Week 1: Great starts for Berossia Dokmano & Street Predators!

    Division 2 of the Sunday Premier League kicked off this week with USSR Utd and LTK FC playing to a 2-2 draw at Coral Secondary. Erfy Nizar gave LTK the lead in the 10th min of this tie before Bugra Inceler, who holds the second highest X-League record for the “Most Goals Scored in a Match” equalized for the Russians just a min later. Isnurhamdan Alatdin then gave LTK the lead going into the break with a clinical finish in the 22nd min before Pavel Volkov equalized for the Russians 14 mins into the second half.

    Two goals from Man of the Match Irsharuddin saw new boys Berossia Dokmano beat highly fancied Sunday Premier League Division 4 Champions POS 2-1 at Boon Lay Secondary. A hat-trick by Lim Janus was not enough to stop Entertainers FC from losing to Street Predators 4-3 at Bedok South Secondary. Find out all about the game in the post match interview below-
