1st Half:
Nervous start from the young Newtons, again with the missing services of Nazarildo, Amirul, Zarie while Ronald arriving late- could have use his service in the first half. In the first 10-15 minutes LAS FC has been streaming their attacking run on Newton’s nervous start pining down Newton’s panic game “distributing long passes and lacking of team communications and trust”. The partnering between Harith and Alfian has been awhile since creates nervousness attitude. Alfian kept playing long passes but short unlike his usual play with short and through provoking passes when he was in the midfields area commanding the game. Syahdirwan on the other hand his usual partnership with Alfian was a little bit off when partnering with Fir.ORG which to my intension would be a good experience if he can benefit from Fir.ORG vast skills and knowledge. When analyses during the break the respond will always be- ‘tak biasa dengan Fir.ORG’ which is a negative response I wish to change on our young talents. The attitude is ‘MISSION POSSIBLE’. The lacking of trust in the midfields need to focus on ball possessions and distribute more passes pressuring the attacking mode on the wings. When in the 17th minutes got the break for Norizwan to initiate his run and tries flips the ball over the keeper but was put away by the defender for a corner. From the corner kick Syahdirwan managed to produce a shot and good save by the goal keeper. Again LAS FC did not deal with their defense and another nice strike from Syahdirwan and another stunning save from the goal keeper. Already three tries produced by Syahdirwan with no finishing touches, he needs to have self belief and composure with his football tuning on his agility. Quality pass by Fir.ORG for Norizwan on the right wings manage to dodge the defender an excellent tricky shot into the goal mouth and a fine tricky save by the goal keeper. On counter attacking, foul on Syahdirwan and Norizwan took the free kick and drives straight to the defending walls. Fluke back pass for Harith and somehow took his eyes of his focus and the determine striker manages to force Harith into defending error wins the ball to strike 0-1 to LAS FC. Trailing at 0-1, Newtons shift gear and produces two tries- Aris shot save bounced to Nashrin and saved again. Since starting up in 3 or 4 games, Aris just 16s has shown maturity in his game- confident, self believe and took command in every position he played in. I believe he will be a good partner with Syafeeq Hammady in the midfield. Wasn’t a good half for Newton! Maybe size has the better advantage influencing Newton’s rhythm.
2nd Half:
Concern at the first half display Red analyses at the break and focus on controlling the game. Few changes to have more command in the midfields and stronger at defense where Ronald would be useful in the first half. Better display in this half more charge in the midfield and support from the defense with comfortable command by Ronald. Newtons starting to show confident moving the ball better when Fir.ORG created a chance took the shot just slightly off target. With another chance for Bo Yanni to strike a beautiful shot a wicked bounce directly to the goal keeper’s chest- should Norizwan followed up with his run could be a goal opportunity. LAS FC produces few chances coming along from the right wings and Nashrin showed a sportsmanship when he block the ball from the attacking player and they both trip over to give an assisting hand for his opponent to raise. Nashrin has developed into a better player for his huge talent different from when he first joins the club, five games without any cautions! To rear an aggressive and hot tempered player at this young age is a huge achievement when one can adhere what is taught for him. Newton Heath continues to develop attacking set-up from a free kick- Aris lay for Nashrin to take a shot block by defender Harith short pass for Norizwan to strike from outside the box and a stunning save ‘corner post’ by the keeper. Corner taken by Bo Yanni pump in to the box and Norizwan scored to level the score 1-1, Norizwan. New boys Ilham and Rasull their second game in X-league still not tune-in yet at this level. Ilham tried hard to fit in and open up his run from the left flank to square the ball for Harith to take the shot and block by defender. More build-up from the left between Nashrin and Syahdirwan, close in into the space and drives a fast ball into the penalty box for Rasull on his run in first timer kick to convert the goal 2-1, Rasull. The lacking of service from the seniors, young Newtons had to claw themselves and raise their experience level the hard way. I am proud and have faith for the lads that they will enjoy at the same time learn. Compared to the first half, this half was far better performance produce by Excellences. Still there is more work to be done for Newton Heath Excellence, potentially to those has been chosen for the X-league. With careful program guided by the experience and an outstanding skill of the seniors the trick of the trades, they can lead the Excellence to accomplish- MISSION POSSIBLE! To conclude- remember this well, every game is different in every sense of the meaning. Do not under estimate you opponent whether strong, weak, big or small. Size and number does not matter when Newtons played well against Stamford FC.
