1st Half:
New faces in Saturday Premier League this season- Marceles Youth respectable name known for their seniors Marceles Junior; this is the first time the two met. On an early minute Norizwan was brought down inside the penalty box a clear foul by Marceles player was not given, Newton could have a good start for that mistake by the referee. On the other hand, good starts for Marceles Youth inside five minute a fluke kick the ball rose from a deflection and over goalkeeper Haikal V still dazing concede 0-1. Instantly from a throw in playmaker midfield Khairul aka Ayul meet with his header to level 1-1, Ayul. Marceles channeling multiple attacks and Newton gave away too many free kicks and conceded another goal from set pieces free kick not covered by Newtons 1-2, Haikal V was not commanding his defense well to avoid the second. Newtons continue to increase the level of play and aka Ayul pick up from a throw-in and force his control from the left midfield drives the shot flow above the ground and level the score 2-2, Ayul. At this point Newton size up their opponent produce better flow increase pressure from the midfield dishing out and pumping in more attacks from the wings with the support from the centre. Bo Yanni pulled a muscle and asks to be taken out replace with Mus, hopefully it is not serious for the following Sunday our X-Cup final at Jalan Besar Stadium. Mus assist with the throw-in, the ball bounce inside the penalty box and Adi convert for Newton lead 3-2, Adi. Marceles Youth pick up the pace with attempts at Newton’s goal and at half time Newtons were 3-2 up.

2nd Half:
At the break I spoke to the referee with regards to Norizwan clear foul inside the penalty box, and the referee admitted that he miss that out and agreed when his two assistants also pointed out that was his mistakes for not awarded Newtons the penalty at the early stage. No hard feelings I replied to the referee, mistake does happen and we take it as ‘a pinch of a salt’; the second half must go on and see how it will unfold.
Few changes in the line-up for this half; Syafeeq H for Zafrie, Syahdirwan for Kumar and Sunny for Kelvin to start up the second half by now Bo Yanni’s injury is known to be a while to recover. He claimed that he used to suffer the same one before and it took 3-4 months for him to fully recover. The match flow evenly for first couple of minutes and Marceles increase pressure on their attacks forcing Hilmi to pick up yellow for a foul on Marceles player. From the free kick well strike taken to level the score at 3-3 and Newtons continues to give away too many free kicks and did not deal with pressure clearing the ball. Marceles kept up the attacking pressure forcing Newtons to give away more free kicks. Another good set pieces produce by Marceles from the free kick to take the lead 3-4. The pressure mounts and midfields Syafeeq and Mus are not effective did not control the midfields well enough. Rudi for Adi, Kumar for Mus, Arif for Norizwan and Hariz for Ayul, by this time Newton were unable to recover from the dismal mistakes Kumar out run by Marceles right winger, Syahdirwan cannot produce his midfield skill like he used too. Another free kick given away and well taken pumps in the ball and met by a header to increase their lead to 3-5.
I must admit Marceles Youth deserves the win with their attitude for not giving up even when they were trailing at 3-2 and kept playing their game well, I wish Newton has this attitude to keep on playing until the final is blown.
