Team Report

Atlas Stabbed the HEART of Heart Sparks who SPARKLE throughout the game. 

A game that we are waiting For. A game between 2 bottom team that have yet to have any point but separated by goals conceded.  

HSFC started off with key players on the bench. Hafiz is back in goal, Yan Marshalling the defence. Adi controlling the midfield. WE do believe that nothing but a win is a fair result. We are full of motivation.

Atlas keep on pressuring our defence by playing around Adi & along side wan senior. Knowing that atlas is making a meal of Adi whom they thought that he is the weakest link, Adi step up his to his usual standard & shut up the attackers. 

Wan Senior was under pressure though out the half & wonder why every opponent keep pressuring him when he is one of the most consistent player in the team.

Hamzah in the other hand made several  mistimed clearance that constitute to slight injury to atlas players. (sorry atlas)  Other mistake leads to brilliance of wan senior & Yan.

 Then a through ball that beats the defender. Atlas forward unleash a low drive that beats Hamzah who fail to challenge the ball & hafiz at near post. HSFC 0-1 Atlas FC on 10min.

The Goal shock us but we keep on the pressure.  We are making used of our flying wingers like Syafiq, Aliff & Haidar to break our losing Jinx.


Wan neymar have plenty of chances but his shot was narrowly wide & over the bar on few occasion. Keep shooting boy, with pure persistence, you will be one of the deadliest striker in the league. 

Then a through ball by Wan neymar towards Syafiq who beats the defenders, Keeper & almost beaten by the Goal post but manage to put the ball in. 1-1 at  20min & Half-time.

A tactical change in the 2nd half half with Eman & mahat at the back Bazil & Ming Ji in defensive mid, Malik & Syafiq as flying wingers & Hamzah as lone striker.

At 58 min, a through ball to Malik on the right who beats the defender & makes a low powerful cross across the penalty box, Lutfi Kurtubi Got his hand to it but present it to Hamzah who timed his run to perfection in between 2 defenders & tap it into the empty net from close range. It was a beautiful team play a great buildup from midfield. 

2-1 to heartsparks!

  We control the game since then. Malik, wan neymar & Syafiq was very instrumental.  

Our defence was very tight. With hafiz making 2 great save to prevent a goal.

Malik & co. Continue to terrorise Atlas defence but failed to find the net & put the game beyond doubt. 

But with 8 minutes to play for, a needless free-kick at the edge of the box.  Hafiz Shouted "don't let the ball past the wall.!". The ball beats the wall & hit the post in to the net. From keeper analysis point of view, hafiz can save that ball if he dive for it or take one step to his right, he is sure to get that ball.  That goal broke our heart into pieces.

We tried hard in search of the winning goal but Atlas "park the bus" in front of the goal.

So it is a rather 2 point drop than a point gain. 

Despite the 2 point lost, we should be proud with our performance & teamwork.  Although we are a new team that made up of Youngsters, experience players from other local professional or amateur  Leagues & players coming out of retirement, we are starting to gel up & slowly get to the right Tune. 

Head up guys! Keep it up, stay Focus & most importantly, we enjoy the game.

Lesson learn from the game is to have more communication on the field. By talking, we not only talk build on teamwork but check our heartbeat to prevent from Cardiac Arrest.

Thanks Atlas for the fair game. Such a pleasure playing with you & we are looking forward for the return leg.
