Team Report

Simple report. Nice weather (cloudy) and good pitch. We opened the season with LTK when only 10 players showed up and played 2-2 which was an achievement. This time around we had 16 players but still played 2-2 which is an underachievement. As you may all know in football the order always beats the quality (11 cloned Ronaldos or Messis will never win the World Cup). Our goalkeeper was 20mins late forcing us to use a regular player (Pavel Z) with no gloves and no experience. He did well but we had to play much more defensively. Once we put in the regular goalie, our pressure increased and we scored a beauty: Pavel V stole the ball on the right, cut back to Bugra who crossed all the way to the left were Anthony headed the ball into right top corner, well executed. LTK responded quickly with a fantastic one-timer 5 meters from penalty box which went into low corner with goalie not even able to touch. With many subs in half-time, we started the second half a bit shaky, LTK was plying better and deservedly went ahead. A goal-kick was won by one of LTK midfielders in the air and a quick through pass to No.12 followed with our defence still staying high was the goal-kick. No.12 quickly ran into the box and nicely cut the ball in, sending 2 for our defenders sliding through, finding himself alone near penalty mark - simple shot and goal. We have increases the tempo again, and Bugra had finally scored from outside the box. There were several chances for both teams with Bugra missing self-created one-on-one with 5mins to go. 2-2 it ended. Our MOM goes to Bugra for an assist and a goal. LTK's MOM goes to No.12 for persistent running, good attitude and incredible skill to sharply cut the ball which caused many problems to our defence.
