Team Awesome had produced the best game of the season so far playing the ball from back of defence right up to attack. With all the attacking done by Team Awesome, you would expect a goal sooner rather than later, but with a penalty not being converted, the first half ended in 0-0 with both teams still tied.
We started the second half the same we started the first, and was finally rewarded with a set piece goal from a well taken corner which was headed home by Man of the Match Rezal. The goals then started to flow as striker Max finally broke his duck to score his first goal of the season with a headed goal as well. This was a Team Awesome on a roll and things just clicked and worked with such great efficiency. A well taken free-kick on the other side of play resulted in a goal for the opponents but it did little to rattle the confidence which was buzzing in the Team Awesome's camp. Manager, Akbar had this to say after the game, "It was a joy watching how we played the game with such fluency and pin point passing. It was certainly a fantastic team performance and a great win."
Final score of 5-1 and a job well done and this win is dedicated to our injured striker, Aidil who is currently out with a fractured shin.
