Division 4 of the PSB Academy Sunday Premier League kicked off Week 12 with 3 matches taking place.
Matador FC hosted Adi-Dogg in the first game at Mayflower Secondary School. Both clubs suffered similar defeats in their previous league games going into the contest and were hoping to bounce back to winning ways in this tie. And it was the visitors who got off to a better start as they began exerting their influence in the game. Goals from Aris (2), Amirul Ramli (2), Khairi Kamsani aka Adek (2) and Muhammad Sulaiman aka Man soon ensued and Adi-Dogg never looked troubled in the contest. Matador pulled 2 goals back thru Aidil Dragon but it was not enough to rescue the match as it finished 7-2 in favor of the visitors as Adi-Dogg bounced back to an impressive win.
Over at Anderson Secondary School, En Fuego CF went head to head against Atlas FC. While Atlas FC were not in action the previous weekend, En Fuego endured a demoralising loss at the hands of Nalo FC. En Fuego looked the more determined side to claim all 3 points on offer. Their neat interplay and ball control allowed them to break down the resolute Atlas defence and score 3 times in the match thru efforts from Muhammad Norzudy aka Boypaktam (2) and Izwan aka Pally. Despite scoring 2 goals of their own thru G.Raghu and Azlan 'Yayan' Yazid , Atlas did not have enough in their tank to over turn the result as they went down 3-2 to their more persistent opponents.
In the final game of the day, Sparta Cowboys FC visited USSR United at Ang Mo Kio Secondary School. Sparta Cowboys took to the field on the back of a huge win in Week 11 while USSR were not in action the previous weekend. The away side started the game in confident fashion as they seized the initiative going forward. Goals from Muhammad Khairuddin aka Khai and Hanafie allowed the visitors to maintain a 2-0 lead going into the interval. After the break, USSR United fought back to 2-2 with a double salvo from Roma. Danial Raihan then scored to give Sparta the lead again before up stepped Ramon Dominguez to equalize for USSR and end the match with the score of 3-3. "Hard fought match with both teams trying to get the goals and all points. Kudos to the Russians who did not give up the fight till the last min of the game" said a contented Sparta Cowboys team manager after the game.

Division 4 of the PSB Academy Sunday Premier League restarted in 2018 with 3 matches taking place.
Nalo FC faced En Fuego CF at Bedok View Secondary School in the early kick-off. Both clubs went into the match off the back of defeats in the league and were looking to get a positive result in this game. It was the hosts who had the better chances in the game which they converted and raced forward in the match. Bahktiar Mohamed aka Bartz grabbed the only consolation for En Fuego as they went down to their more determined opponents by 6 goals to 1.
In the following match at the same venue, Sparta Cowboys took on Matador FC in the 1pm game. In what proved to an open contest, both defences were tested early on in the match as both teams tried to seize the early initiative. Sparta's star man was undoubtedly Hanafie who started the scoring in the 8th minute. He would go only to net 4 more goals in the game as he lead the charge for his team. Danial Rahim and Muhammad Hilmi rounded up the scoring for Sparta against an unlucky Matador side who replied thru a Prasad hat-trick. " Another never say die performance by the Spartans. Scoring 4 goals in each half makes us look formidable from the beginning of the game. Credits by our star man Hanafie who just wants to keep on scoring and scoring. Keep it up Sparta! "exclaimed an overjoyed Sparta Cowboys Team Manager after his side's 8-3 victory.
The final game of the round took place at Ang Mo Kio Secondary School between Adi-Dogg and T89. It was the first meeting between the 2 undefeated sides in the league and many were expecting an evenly contested match. T89 started the game in attacking mode. Few shots were fired early on but were saved by the Adi-Dogg goalkeeper who had an outstanding game between the posts. Despite their efforts, both teams failed to find the opener in the first half. In the second half, T89 began to apply more pressure and pressed on Adi-Dogg's backline. As the game went on, Adi-Dogg showed some signs of fatigue and T89 striker James managed to find the net after a series of one touch play. T89 continued to press forward and went on to seal the victory with a beautifully struck goal in the closing stages of the game by T89 winger Kelvin. The game ended with a deserved victory for T89 by the score of 2-0.

1 match was played in the final game of 2017 in the PSB Academy Sunday Premier League Division 4 as T89 took on Matador FC at Coral Secondary School. It proved to be a forgettable day for Matador on a rainy wet pitch as they started short even before the games as they were missing several regulars. Matador played the entire 1st half with only 10 men on the pitch. It went downhill from the 1st minute of the game as T89 attacked relentlessly and could not be stopped by Matador. Goals from Luke, Julio, Andrew (2) and James (2) gave T89 a big 6-0 lead going into the interval. Matador was restored to their full compliment of players in the 2nd half and managed to withhold T89's attacking play for 20 minutes. However they still succumbed and conceded 3 further goals from Julio, Nigel and Andrew to end the match on the wrong side of a 9-0 hiding. "It's a bad New Year's Eve for Matador FC" remarked a disappointed Matador team manager after the game.

Due to several match rearrangements, Match day 9 saw only a single game taking place in the PSB Academy Sunday Premier League Division 4. It featured familiar foes in the form of Adi-Dogg and En Fuego CF. Fresh from a big win the previous weekend, Adi-Dogg was confident of their chances against an En Fuego side that last played a game back in Week 5! And it was no wonder that Adi-Dogg controlled most of the early possession and created the better chances in the game. En Fuego had their opportunities as well and managed to score a goal through Izwan aka Pally. However, that was not enough to get them the win as Adi-Dogg netted twice in the contest to grind out the victory and go into Christmas with all 3 points!

3 fixtures were played in Week 8 of the PSB Academy Sunday Premier League Division 4. The early game featured Nalo FC up against Sparta Cowboys. While the hosts had a break in Week 7, Sparta Cowboys blitzed Atlas FC by 7 goals on the way to an easy victory. Despite starting brightlyand netting the opener, Nalo was soon penned back by the rampaging Cowboys. The visitors took control of the midfield and stifled any attacks by their opponents. Aided by the assists from Man-of-the-Match Ramadhan Redwan aka Chuckie, Sparta soon found themselves comfortably in the lead with goals from Hanafie (2), Afiq Zulhilmi and Hafizoom. The game ended with victory for the Cowboys by 4 goals to 1.
Over at Marsiling Secondary School, it was a meeting of old foes as Atlas FC welcomed the challenge of Adi-Dogg. After a resounding victory in their first league match the past weekend, Adi-Dogg was confident of adding Atlas to their scalp. And the match certainly did not disappoint as both teams created plenty of chances and had numerous chances to score. Adi-Dogg was the more clinical of the two sides and they hit the back of their opponent's goal 8 times in the match! Atlas had no answer to the attacking play of Adi-Dogg and went down 8-2 as they suffered their 6th league loss of the campaign.
The final game was held at Mayflower Secondary School between USSR United and league newcomer Matador FC. It was a return to the field of play for Matador after almost a month out of action. Despite their time away, the away side were the first to draw first blood in the contest. Aidil Dragon was on hand to apply the finishing touch after some neat interchange forward play. Soon after, USSR got their equalizer and grew more confident as the match progressed. A defensive mix-up allowed the hosts to take a 2-1 lead into the break. Matador players came out for the 2nd half determined to restore their advantage however that was soon hampered by a couple of avoidable defensive mistakes that allowed USSR to net 2 further goals. With the spirits of the Matador players on a low from the setback, USSR took advantage and scored their 5th and final goal of the game to deservedly win by 5 goals to 1.

Week 7 of the PSB Academy Sunday Premier League Division 4 saw a return to league action for league old boy Adi-Dogg as 2 matches kicked off over the weekend.
Starting their first league game of the season, Adi-Dogg took on USSR United at Mayflower Secondary School hoping to get off to a winning start. USSR on the other hand was hoping to arrest their poor form which resulted in their recent loss to Sparta Cowboys. However, Adi-Dogg took to the contest like a duck to water as they controlled the majority of the possession and created the better goal scoring opportunities. USSR had no answer to their opponent's dominance and was on the back foot from the start. Adi-dogg ended the contest with a 6-0 score line as they celebrated their start to the new season with an emphatic win.
Over at Marsiling Secondary School, Atlas FC faced early pace setters Sparta Cowboys FC. The two teams couldn't be so differently matched up as the home side were winless in the league so far while the visiting team had a 100% record going into the game. However against the run of play, Atlas scored to the lead the tie in the early stages of the game. Sparta bounced back and within a 22 minute blitz, they spectacularly regained the lead after a hat-trick by Man-of-the-Match Hanafie and a goal by Norahman Abu Bakar aka Man going into the break. The second half was all Sparta and they netted 2 further goals thru Muhammad Khairuddin aka Khai and Shah Shanani to secure their 4th league win of the campaign.

Division 4 of the PSB Academy Sunday Premier League saw 2 matches taking place over the weekend.
In the early morning game, Matador FC took on Sparta Cowboys FC at Sembawang Secondary School. While this was the hosts' 3rd game in a row, Sparta Cowboys were involved in the new season for the first time. It was a feisty encounter between two good football sides. Tension was quite tensed even in the early minutes of the game as both teams tried to get their rhythm and execute their game plan. Sparta Cowboys scored two good goals as their attacking pressure paid dividends against the defensive lapses from Matador and went into the break 2 goals up. It was a totally different story in the 2nd half as Matador rallied to close the deficit and surge ahead in the contest. With a quarter of the game remaining, Sparta's experience proved vital as they forced their opponents into making mistakes and scored 2 further goals to record a 4-3 away victory over the gutsy Matador side. "At some points of the game, both teams got overly passionate and tempers nearly rose from both sets of players. Referee did quite well to contain the situations and let the game flow. After all this is football. Congrats to the winners" said a sporting Matador FC team manager after the match.
Over at Serangoon Secondary School, T89 went into their match against Atlas FC with high spirits after a win against USSR United in Week 2. The playing conditions were torrid after a heavy downpour in the morning and it clearly affected the game. Despite that, T89 still had too much in the locker against their more veteran opponents and proceeded to convert their numerous goal-scoring chances. James was the star man for his team with 4 goals as T89 ended the game as convincing 6-0 winners.

USSR scored 2 more goals and made it a mountain to climb for T89 but the visitors rallied and managed to draw level near the closing stages of the match. With the match looking to end in a draw, T89's Gerald headed in a last minute corner to give his side a most remarkable and much deserved victory. Final score: USSR United 4 -5 T89.
