Team Report

1st Half: Good turn out this time round with two new players Ariffin, and Syaz-younger brother to Firdaus and Ilaz ‘Ex-Newton’s Pioneer 2003’. Only two seniors Bo Yanni and Baby assisting this game, though Bo Yanni is not 100percent fit recovering from Flu. The formation in this half 4-2-3-1 a cautious line-up Harith and Hykal J. the holding play maker controlling the midfield area. With just Bo Yanni in this half, young Newtons are still wary holding back their talent to push harder allowing Stamford to play game when sluggish defend leaves an opening for Stamford to strike well from outside the box 0-1 to Stamford. Instantly Newton opens up the force good built-up from Nashrin left wings square the ball for Adi from just at the tip of the penalty box to level the score 1-1 Adi. The speed from Nashrin and Norizwan was good but still there is more to come from these two lads. Especially Norizwan, better display and play by him if he continues playing simple football and focus on constant movements by creating spaces in order for the rest of the team mates to be able to play him on. Time and time again he is being tuned yet slow heeding advice. At times Norizwan would somehow play to what he was told just that his mind would drifts into holding the ball too long or showing off his fanatic skills dragged his intentions into out of touch. Leaving his team mates wonders what next to play him. The speed, skills, control, ideas, conflicts into confusion in his decision to flow the action of the rhythm thereby, CONFUSSED!!! To maintain the flow rhythm of his skills, Norizwan needs to practice more to overcome the confuse conflictions of his rhythm, focus and work hard on the practice to benefit from it.

2nd Half: In this half, Red reform the line sets, 4-3-3 to focus more on the attacking tactics. Stamford came out stronger dishing out from the wings causing Newtons deep into its own half. Better display by Newtons with few more chances at goal. More pressure from Newtons which force a foul on Nashrin just outside the box, Aris took a beautiful strike on the free kicks for Newton’s taking the lead 2-1 Aris. The control by the four defenders works well commanding its territory. Superseding its authority and combinations between Nashrin and Norizwan stabilized increasing more pressure with the support from Bo Yanni and the backing from Harith and Baby. Exceptional recover from the defense great control dishing out the attacks through midfields found Nashrin free from the defenders to increase the lead to 3-1 Nashrin control his run position himself to better strike over the keeper for the top corner of the goal post. More control in this line-up exposing from Nashrin’s speed, again like Norizwan- they both has the ingredient to increase the charge. Just their individual control rhythm of the flow on the executions needs a lot more fine tuning. Hykal J, once an exquisite striker lost his touches when focus on defensive role for the past seasons, kept himself well in the team’s line-up and go on goal keeper in this half. Just maintaining his attitude and influence in the squad and refining his striker’s role in future matches.
The lads are enjoying the game this far creating chances after chances and develop belief within. Great achievements I believe so far but as yet there is more to be done maintaining this achievements and stay focus. The trust amongst the team is precisely important and sets centre of attentions for all. Which illustrate in the next episode finds the strength from our senior Baby (Sharil R) focus his distribution a precise passes commanding the midfields play and control a diagonal through long pass to find Nashrin on his run and fluke the keeper for Newtons fourth goal 4-1 Nashrin. To this day and beyond, there are huge talents from our youngsters in their football fantasies. A combine effort must mutually agree in order to move on creating its own story and explore the adventure of the sports. It must first create FUN and Enjoyments in the sport before anything else.
