After earning our first points last week, Lionheart FC took the game against Team Awesome in similar fashion. However, with a thin bench, it was going to be tough to play on a warm summer day. Not long into the game, the opponent took the lead as we started with only 10 men.
Once we got a full 11 onto the pitch, Lionheart scored an equaliser through Aiman. We finished the half 2-1 down. But Coach Yan was happy with the way we played under tough circumstances.
We were told to play tighter and not tire ourselves as we are thin on the bench and the day is hot. Eventually, we managed to claw back into the game with another goal from Aiman, and then a brilliant goal by Kecik off a pass from his brother Syafiq. And the match winner came from 20 yards out from a Hanaffi free kick.
Realising that a win was within reach, the boys defended like hell and the referee's whistle couldn't come any sooner. Our first 3 points, and we hope to steer away from the bottom in the next 3 games.
