Team Report

1st half Turn out for today’s match was poor only 10men players, Arizen FC with just 9men players. The match continues with Newton opening up the score from Alfian controlling the midfield and powers his command through and square to Hykal J making his run-in from the left wings with speed and pace to score 1-0 Hykal J. Second goal came from a corner kicks taken by Norizwan, beautifully taken and was denied by the post for Arian to react his reflects and convert the second goal 2-0 Arian. Knowing that they has the advantage with one extra man, Newton press on harder dishing out their attacks from both wings. Maintaining the play from the midfields Alfian is getting better and from an angle outside the box tries to flip the ball over the right corner of the keeper but wasn’t good enough saved by the keeper nice try. Third goal was from an own goal, a corner taken by Norizwan with his left foot and caused defensive panic 3-0 OG. Newton keeps up the pressure with Alfian and Hykal J on fire producing simple touches from the left flank aggressive pace and swiftness on their moves. Arizen fail to clear the danger scramble in the box and Hykal J scores his second goal 4-0 Hykal J. Despite playing with 9men, Arizen FC breaks Newtons defence on few tries with pace and skills of their own. One particular striker was just fast and skilful stretching out Kumar and Arian to fall back deep. Smooth play from the midfield for Adi managed to set free from the defender’s marking toe-pan for a try but saved by the keeper, Hykal followed up on his run and scored for his hat trick goal 5-0 Hykal J. After five time tries Adi finally put his name on the score sheets, cheeky flick pass from Norizwan for Adi on his run solo his control of the ball for his first goal, 6-0 Adi. The built up between Alfian, Hykal and Norizwan proves teamwork effort and beautiful combination one touch football, quick thinking movements Alfian just put it wide perhaps he took his eyes off the target or switch off his composure at the point of striking the ball. Arizen FC did not give up with 9men standing; they played to enjoy the game and paid off with a clever flow of football breaking pass Newtons defence for their consolation goal 6-1.

2nd half At the lead 6-1, Newton still with 10men and Arizen 9men. Few minutes into the game, Arizen produce a stunning strike Haikal V beaten denied by the bar. On the other end, Bo Yanni has been knocking on Arizen’s goal mouth this time strike from 25metres the goalkeeper beaten just whiskers over. At times Norizwan holds the ball too long instead of his skills on the pace and speed, one touch passing movements to his advantage. In the next move nice work with Hykal J run in his control return a lay off back to Norizwan compose a stinging strike 7-1 Norizwan. Stubborn boy Norizwan like to solo the ball too long when he is lethal with his ability with one touch football dominate in his department strong and swift. The understanding in the midfield was just great and grew even stronger. Bo Yanni and Alfian dominate the distributions from with-in when both Hykal J and Norizwan generate precise football on clinical movements. The cross passing initiate choices and ideas to play wider for the wingers breaking the defence barrier to establish the supporting attacks in the box. Norizwan has been pounding instigating the double switch passing with Hykal J when Bo Yanni on multiple efforts just put wide. Not meant to be for Bo Yanni today to get even a goal but he contributed on other areas with beautiful passes. Newtons continues to dictate from the next built up Hilmi and Kumar regain control work their way with Alfian, to Bo Yanni hard through pass for Norizwan with clear vision on Hykal J’s run lays it off for Hykal J to gain his speed to score his fourth goal 8-1 Hykal J. Still Arizen FC continues to enjoy the game as much as they can score their second goal, 8-2. After conceded the second goal Newton was aware that they have become too complacent with the comfortable lead. On the touchline coaches was angry, Newtons began their strike again minutes before the final whistle. The ninth goal came from a penalty when Newtons was awarded a penalty from a foul picked up by Arizen’s player. Kumar stood up to take the penalty and scored Newtons 9th goal, 9-2 Kumar.
It was a comfortable win for Newtons and credit to Arizen FC for their endurance in the sport. They have the attitude and character to continue playing well despite their disadvantage on one man. They managed to score pass two goals pass Newtons and reminded to all that football is about to enjoy the game, not the score line. Obviously the idea of the sport is to WIN!
This is a great attitude in football one should observe and learn from it. To mould it in a team, it is a massive task for a coach to achieve, it is not impossible however!
