1st half Kind of weary climate approaching into today’s match, it was cloudy all morning throughout the afternoon and wondering if this will be another bad weather! Thunder can be heard in a distance and just drizzle dropping on the field the lads continue getting change however, while waiting for Arizen to complete their squad to arrive. It has gone pass 3:15pm and only 7 players for Arizen FC. The match kicks off at around 3:20pm and Newtons look like having too easy game with 11 vs 7 of Arizens’. In fairness, Newton was too complacent playing against 7men team and they can only managed to put in 4 goals in the first half. Red wasn’t satisfied with the result and understood the circumstances facing 7 men team was just too easy for the lads that in turn can be harder to record even more goals. Unlike in the past week having believes that they will have to play well against Pechacious a good team, better performance than by the boys proving their football real good passing 4 goals with clean sheets.
Match started cautiously on a one-sided fare as Newton open the scoring through Bo Yanni from a well struck by Fir.ORG from the centre of midfield just outside the penalty box and the ball deflected for Bo Yanni to place the ball over the keeper, 0-1 Bo Yanni (6mins). Newton was in control and was awarded a corner taken by Syahdirwan and precise header by Adi for Newtons 2nd goal, 0-2 Adi (8mins). Third goal came from a well control pass from our Pioneer player YAZRUL- since he was 15 year old ten years ago, for Bo Yanni on his run into the penalty box to dodge the defenders for the 3rd goal, 0-3 Bo Yanni (16mins). Newtons had an easy game for this run with no sense of worry amongst the players even though they produce good football. Lacking of urgency and endurance challenge this time round, I suppose the sense of too comfortable in the position they are playing in, defuses the intensity of their capability to record more goals. Compared to the last time these two teams met, Newtons scored 9 goals with 10men while Arizen FC managed to score pass 2 consolation goals pass Newtons with only 9men. The ratio between the two matches speaks differently; today’s match is considered poor result. Fourth goal came from Bo snatched the ball from within the oppositions half skilfully dodging his way into the box and scored his hat-tricks goal 0-4 Bo Yanni (27mins).

2nd half Few changes made Red try to improve on the attacking ideas with new faces. Two youths U16s Danish on the left back and Sheqal on the attacking midfields impressive display by the youngsters, on the 53mins Danish got a break overlapping from the left wings, tries to curl the ball into far corner of the goal post deflected to Sheqal to convert his day view goal for Newtons 5th goal, 0-5 Sheqal (53mins). Salute to Arizen’s fighting spirit produces few chances stretching Newtons to the max causing panic when on the 58mins Hazim was penalised for a foul and picked up yellow card on a bad tackle. Besides the youth performs well, new face Shary, Farhad, Arian and Norizwan was not up to the mark. Hazim on the other hand still new to the squad needs few more games to blend into the system and tune up his fitness a little. Bad goal kicks from the goal keeper on the 69mins pick up by Bo Yanni rush in a solo run to score his 4th goal for Newtons 0-6 Bo Yanni (69mins). On the 72mins, panic moment inside Arizen’s penalty box did not clear the ball and Arian managed to put the ball at the corner of the goal post 0-7 Arian (72mins).
In the 1st half, better performance all round Hilmi, Alfian our first elevens. Mamat and Yazrul still new while Fir.org and Harith the playmaker was just excellence. Clean sheets in this half. Syahdirwan, Bo, Adi and Haziq didn’t push harder or maybe Bo tried too hard. In the 2nd half, four new faces Danish, Sheqal, Hazim and Shary. Combine with Kumar, Ravin. Fir.ORG, Farhad, Norizwan and Arian combination and understanding was minimal. To conclude, this essay; an easy match drawn into complacent and smug, in turn it becomes bad habit.
