1st half
Xleague Champion for the second time, second season 2013- Congratulations to all Newtons, second season back to back CHAMPIONs again for the boys at Newton Heath FC (S). Especially to our boys from Teens Excellence – Alfian, Harith, Syahdirwan, Hykal Johari, Adi, Norizwan, Kumaran, Hilmi, has proven the unity of the team and the motivation of hard work in achieving it. In the first season of Xleague, combine with Newtons Babe (the seniors), the first half of season one- a big shoe to fill-in sets for Teens Excellence to fill in. Huge scoring margins Teens Excellence to equal it up for the remainder of the season and crown Champion with 2draws and 1lost only.

Newton crowned champion for the second season running with six points clear and three games in hand. Just a hand full of Newtons Babe- Bo Yanni and Fir.ORG haggles all the way through the season with Teens Excellence, and they can be proud to declare single handedly achieve the championship through huge experience, in failures, and superior accomplishment ability with great courage from the whole unit. Hence, with new faces emerging from Newton youths development Teens Prodigy the likes of- Haikal Vorm, Putra, Jazlan, Nashrin, Haziq, Aris, Wayne, Syazwan, Afiq and more to produce the goods from these young squad to showcase their talents.

Facing the new set and improved Kallang Roar FC today, it is believe to be one good match encounter. Kallang Roar wishes to capitalize on their improved squad while Newtons would like to end the tournament with flying colors in top honest back to back CHAMPIONS, to better last season’s record.

Hykal J, since pulling him out from defending roles, Hykal J impressed so much with his usual style on pace, speed, agility and composure a natural striking player. In the pass two games playing as a playmaker in the midfield, shows another department he is capable of. Hykal picked up from the left of midfield strike a long shot just swerve over the bar. Another youngster impressively blend into the squad Nashrin high work rate block the throw in from Kallang control the drop ball for his left footer shot on target and well save by the keeper. Nashrin fast and always on the move with the ball maintain the flow lay for Hykal J coming from the left shoot side netting. Hykal J switch pass for Norizwan making his run on the right wings lock in for a shot just wide. Good run by Nashrin into the centre dummy run with Zarie to open up a space for a shot just inch wide. Kallang keeper just good made a lots of saves, when Bo Yanni lay a low through pass for Zarie opening the angle close in for a shot another well saved by Hadi. Hadi long kick into Haikal’s box tricky bounce well compose and confident by Newton’s small young goalkeeper to flick the ball out for a corner well saved! Kallang Roar was very extraordinary and inspiring with their performance on few occasions caught Newtons off guard with their skills on the ball penetrating Newton’s defender deep. Kallang managed to walk all over Newtons when they got a goal to have it flagged off-side. Hykal J was all him in the play maker role high work rate and quick on the ball, Farhad on the other hand just was not him today un-usual ha, if tuned in together with Hykal J forcing more on the attacking push the result might have been different. It just need a little punch, 0-0 in the first half.

2nd half
Instantly without delay, Newton awarded for a free kick just outside the penalty box taken by Hykal J, drives the ball hard swerves just whisker over the top bar. Newton kept the pressure on when Syahdirwan was foul on by number 19 and picked up yellow. The game is getting much more interesting with Kallang engage pace move from the right and OLE on Syahdirwan close in to the box with good delivers on the strike for Kallang first goal 1-0. Newtons did not press harder from the playmaker when Zarie slot in for Bo Yanni just not fast enough or maybe not observant sooner for the chance toe-pan for goal and another save by Hadi. Another chance for Bo Yanni when Norizwan pump in a direct ball Bo Yanni struggling to pick up the pace cleared by the defender. The intensity of the game is rising for Newtons throwing more attacking chances for equalizing goal. Kallang Roar in panic moment inside their own box did not clear the danger when Zarie managed to intercept the ball from the defender solo it in to put the ball at the right corner of the goal keeper, 1-1 Zarie. More chances for Newton to get the winning goal when Zarie made the run on a through ball flick it off to the left for Bo Yanni on his follow up run took the shot and another well saved by Hadi for a corner. Bo Yanni on the corner kick, pump in the cross for Zarie on the header and denied by the top bar. Nashrin for Bo Yanni to give more control pace and speed, Newton creates more attacks strike from Nashrin from the left Hadi produce another stunning save. The attacking force mounts up with Norizwan and Nashrin for some reason Kallang number 8 penalize for a foul and pick their second yellow.

At 1-1 draw the score line would be a fair result for both teams. Newtons however would have been different if there are more supporting roles from the midfields playmakers. The punch wasn’t there today stopping the advancements from Kallang Roar in the midfields, picking up the loose balls to reverse the play. Defensively Newtons were good even though Kallang produces tremendous skills pushing back Newtons. Or perhaps Kallang Roar with their new development has improves the squad tactically.

A remarkable display by Kallang Roar picking up point producing good football competitively and edge Newton’s skills for skill, speeds for speed and the height of the sports competitiveness in a tournament such as this!
